Description
Come see our small orchards and learn to care for animals. Learn some light gardening, help feed brush and play with miniature cattle, goats, and chickens. You would room in our home with your private bedroom and bath and all meals provided. We live in a very private location with lots of trees and it’s very peaceful. Grand kids visit. There is a swimming pool for Summer fun. We have Berries and fruit trees for your enjoyment.
You can gather eggs.
Our Hobbies are hunting traveling, attending music concerts, sporting events and shopping.
We would love to learn to cook Chinese and Asian foods. .we have two dogs and a few outdoor rescue cats.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We can attend a Dallas Cowboy game if there is one during your stay. You could learn some very detailed animal healthcare during your stay. We like various foods.. We use a lot of different seasonings and ingredients so you could learn a lot about American cooking including some gourmet. We have hundreds of books.

You may Feed animals, help tidy rabbit pens, Gather eggs. Planting and tending the garden. Organising. Helping in house. Crafters type small DIY projects) birdhouse building Cooking if you like and is a plus.

Accommodation
Home with private bedroom. Safe area. You may go for walks and see a lot of pretty yards and nature. We can not provide for special diets such as vegetarian. We eat meat.
We raise our own cattle so we eat a lot of beef, seafood and poultry.

It was my first time doing Workaway, and it was more then I expected. I saw the Dallas Cowboys win at the at&t stadium, did a lot of work on the house and property, got to see (and prepare for) an authentic Texas freeze, and a lot more!

He completed an entire project here consisting of stripping paint off a large front door and repainting and also installing new glass framing.
He’s polite and pleasant. Was very kind to the grand children. An easy going guy.
We welcome him back anytime.
He got to hang out with my son who is his age.
We look forward to him returning in a few years.
