  My name is Laura, and I live in the La Vera region of Cáceres, a natural paradise on the southern slopes of the Sierra de Gredos mountains, which also boasts a welcoming and diverse community. I live alone, although I frequently receive visits from my children and friends.

  In the towns of my region, there's a wide range of cultural and leisure activities, including dance, meditation, astrology, Pilates, Tai Chi, and more. Public transport isn't very extensive, so having your own car is recommended for greater independence. There are also WhatsApp groups for carpooling, and you can take advantage of the trips I make. I speak English (B1-B2 level) and would love to practice it more and help you learn Spanish if that's something you're interested in. I'm a social worker by training. My interests include politics, culture, the arts, agroecology, gastronomy, community development, and social justice. I'd love to chat about these topics, learn more about where you're from, and share meals and recipes.
  
  En los pueblos de mi comarca existe una amplia oferta cultural y de ocio con todo tipo de actividades (danza, meditación, astrología, pilates, tai-chi,...).
  No existe una oferta amplia de transporte público por lo que es recomendable contar con vehículo propio para tener más independencia, aunque también hay grupos de whatsapp para compartir vehículos privados y se pueden aprovechar los viajes que yo realice.
  Hablo inglés (nivel B1-B2) y me encantaría poder practicarlo más y facilitar el aprendizaje de español si fuera tu interés.
  Soy educadora social de formación. Entre mis intereses está la política, la cultura, las artes, la agroecología, la gastronomía, el desarrollo comunitario, y la justicia social. Me encantará tener conversaciones al respecto, conocer más sobre tu lugar de origen, compartir comidas y recetas...

  I would love to be able to temporarily host someone so that, in addition to exchanging perspectives and knowledge about life, I could have an extra pair of hands for house maintenance (DIY, wood treatment, painting) and/or gardening (finishing and preparing the chicken coop, vegetable garden, fruit trees, etc.). I am open to making arrangements based on the preferences and skills of the person I am hosting.
  
  Me encantaría poder acoger temporalmente a alguien para además de intercambiar miradas y conocimientos sobre la Vida, poder contar con dos manos más para tareas de mantenimiento de la casa (bricolage, tratamiento madera, pintura) y/o jardín (terminar de acondicionar y poner a punto gallinero, huerta, frutales,...).
  Abierta a acordar en base a preferencias y habilidades de la persona acogida.

  Regarding the rules of coexistence, I expect that the common areas will be kept clean and tidy. However, I understand that this will be something we need to discuss together before arriving and during our stay.
  
  En relación a las normas de convivencia, espero que en los espacios comunes se mantenga orden y limpieza. Entiendo no obstante que esto será algo a negociar juntas antes de venir y durante la estancia.
