Description
Welcome to our vibrant place in the mid-northern part of Jutland. We are a family of three living on 7,5 hectares of land. We have forest, meadow, and garden. Just a few kilometers away is Limfjorden, beautiful water and nice beaches. We love this rural area, where Dea Sofie grew up. Sebastian is from the high Southamerican Andes mountains, and our son Mateo is a bilingual, dinosaurloving five year old. We are natureloving people, sharing knowledge about the traditional ways of living, Sebastian has grown up with. Dea Sofie is a published writer, who cant be away from her vegetables and garden projects for very long. We don't have a professional farm, but enjoy the garden as a ecological task of connection. Every summer we put up our tipis and enjoy having friends and family staying over, the community feeling is strong, and we share around the fire, make sweat lodges, go for walks in the forest, and sing and drum

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Friends and family are likely to come and share and help out, both during the week and weekends. Dea Sofies family lives close by. They are amazingly friendly and love meeting people from around the world. We would love to share with you about both Danish and Colombian culture, traditional ways and how we connect to nature. Helping out at our place we are sure you will get many good experiences with earth and all of her children, the plants, animals and people. We have cats and a great amount of birds live in the forest, with deer, fox, badger and hare. We are looking forward to meeting people from other places, with other experiences and life knowledge to share.

Help
We would like for you to help put with various tasks related to the garden and the land. It could also be helping out with painting some doors in the house, but mostly the help is needed outside. So if you love working in the fresh air, getting your hands dirty in the soil, this could be perfect for you. We have a dream about being selfsufficient when it comes to the vegetable part, meaning this year we try to grow a lot of potatos, squash, pumpkin etc. So watering, weeding, tending, planting and harvesting will be daily tasks. Also we are studying the wildgrowing plants of the meadow and forest, to know how many of them are also edible and can be used in infusions or with other health related purposes. A lot of the time we would be doing the work together with you, and with joy we will share what we know about working with the land.

We have different options for accommodation.
In the mainhouse there is room available, it has a bed and outside in the hallway there is a closet. One wall of the room is covered with Dea Sofies brothers record-collection. Windows are towards the garden.
We can also put up a tent for you in the forest. We have different sizes and lots of matresses and blankets. Finally we have a 5 m tipi where you can live. It doesn't have a floor, but we can fix it up with some furniture if you will be staying for a longer period of time.
The food we eat is mainly vegetarian and organic. But meat isn't prohibited, Sebastian eats some meat. We usually share a big, warm meal around noon. The dinner can be sandwiches, left overs or something cooked on a bonfire. What else ...
When you are not working with us you could:
Go for long walks in the forest and by the beach. If you like to swim it is also possible. You can borrow a bicycle to get to the beach. We have a good amount of interesting books on culture, nature and novels. If you like woodworking you could go to the workshop with Sebastian. Nearby we have things like a medieval castle, islands, well and beaches. The closest town with a supermarket is 5 km away. We get around in our car, and you are welcome to join when we are going to the supermarket, and bigger towns. We also expect to be able to take you around for some sightseeing.
We don't accept drugs or alcohol in the house, nor that you do that some other place and come back to ours.
We hope you enjoy being around kids - our son is very social and love making new friends.A little more information
