We seek volunteers with teaching experience or who are willing to have a go! We are a small, friendly and still very young institute where your contribution will have a substantial impact on the lives of your students. At any time we host a handful of volunteers in addition to our group of regular local teachers, and are always looking for fresh faces to join our little community here! We teach classes to small groups of adults, children and teenagers, with most groups having 4 to 6 students per class. We follow textbooks from major publishers, but teachers have a lot of autonomy in how they teach their classes.
We are interested in introducing new cultures to our students to open up their minds towards not only the language, but also towards the people who speak it.

The volunteer will have the chance to stay in a peaceful Colombian town where they get to know the country's culture and its people. In addition, they would have the opportunity to improve their Spanish skills as well as to travel around within the region where they are staying in their free time.
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Barbosa is a small town located halfway on the main highway that connects Bogota with Bucaramanga.
As a volunteer, you will have the unique chance to explore the Colombian culture, get in touch with its people and travel to some awesome nearby places, such as San Gil, Barichara, Villa de Leyva and also to small, hidden villages with breathtaking landscapes.
