Description
We are a family of six, with two children already living on their own. The children living at home are aged 12, 12, 14, and 16. We have a lovely small farm with chickens, roosters, Finnish sheeps, and two dogs. Our farm operates for our own enjoyment, and we do not sell any products outside our home. We cherish traditional farming practices and strive for self-sufficiency to some extent. The parents work in the education sector, with the father being a vocational school teacher and the mother working as a principal in a primary school. Time for farm management is limited, but we enjoy working together in the countryside. In our family, you would get to experience Finnish countryside life, enjoy the Finnish summer, and if you wish, you could join us on small trips to nearby areas. The young members of the family are enthusiastic about playing various games and they also want to strengthen their English language skills.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Volunteers benefit from cultural exchange in many ways. They can learn new customs, traditions, and values from different cultures, which can broaden their worldview and understanding of the world. Cultural exchange can also provide unique experiences and the opportunity to get to know local people and their way of life. Additionally, travelers can learn new skills, such as language skills or traditional crafts, and gain new ideas and perspectives on their own lifestyles and decision-making. While staying with us, volunteers will have the chance to experience traditional Finnish farm life and its tasks. They can learn about family life and community spirit in the countryside, surrounded by pure nature by the lake.
