Details
 - Description- We are a family with two adult children (in their twenties) living outside the farm. We live in Southern Finland but we try to spend all weekends and most of the summer at the farm. We speak Finnish, Swedish, English and French.
The farm is very important for us. It is one of the three farms around our lake that are enlisted as "nationally important historic buildings". Our mission is to maintain the cultural heritage of our home village by keeping the farm and the pastures in good condition. This is not a commercial enterprise but rather a cultural project.
We need help in maintaining buildings, gardening, farm work, forestry and taking care of the sheep (which we hopefully get in late June) and domestic work.
The farm is located 12 kms from the closest groceries store. Siikainen is a very small village (two groceries, petrol station, pharmacy, library, ATM, restaurant). The nearest city is Pori 64 km. All city services can be found there. including railway station.
The house is a large "row house" with amenities. We have shower, bath and 2 toilets + all modern kitchen equipment. We also have a sauna in a separate building.
The vastest forests in South-western Finland are surrounding the farm. We have a lake next to the farm and dozens of them in the area. The farm is about half an hour's ride from the sea and an hour's drive from the Yyteri beach.
Working clothes, gloves and boots are on the house if you don't have your own.
 Non-smokers have a priority.
We have plenty of room so couples are welcome!
There are two other workaway farms in the village with which we cooperate.

Kimmo is very polite and always made sure I had enough food and free time. I worked independently and for myself a lot, but that wasn't a problem since Kimmo was always just a phone call or SMS away.
