Description
Hallo, liebe Backpacker! 😊 If you speak German and love the outdoors, you are very welcome here! I lived in Germany for a year and would love the chance to practice and improve my German language skills with you while you stay.
About Me & My Property
Welcome! I live on a unique bush property that offers a true taste of the Australian natural environment. There are always exciting projects happening here, from building infrastructure for our animals to general house upgrades.
We share our home with an amazing mix of farm animals, including pigs, cows, and goats. We also have a hand-raised kangaroo who is incredibly friendly and will often follow you around while you do your daily tasks! I have family members living just next door and others spread around the local area, so it is a friendly, community-minded environment. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Having lived in Germany for a year I am very keen to share stories, exchange cultural perspectives, and practice my German language skills with you while helping you improve your English.
You will get to experience the authentic Australian lifestyle on a unique bush property. I am always excited to take volunteers out on days off to show you the best local spots, hidden nature tracks, and our nearby beaches. You will also get a hands-on introduction to Australian wildlife care, farm management and local land conservation.
My family lives right next door and around the local area, so you will be fully immersed in a friendly, welcoming local community! -
Help
I am looking for motivated volunteers who enjoy physical outdoor tasks and diverse farm projects. This is a bush property, so tasks vary daily.
Your help will include:
• Land Clearing: Cutting back thick overgrown scrub, vines, bushes, and clearing fallen branches.
• Bushfire Prep: Dragging and stacking green waste, creating mulch piles, and land management.
• Property Maintenance: Lawn mowing, whipper-snipping, and general household maintenance.
• Building Projects: Helping construct or repair shelters and enclosures for our animals, plus other handy house tasks.
• Household Chores: Helping out with general day-to-day household chores around the place
You do not need prior experience, but you must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment. -

Accommodation
I offer two accommodation options on availability and work:
1. The main house accommodation is a shared, studio-style bedroom, that may be available for the Workawayer to use privately when I am away for work. If multiple Workawayers are staying at the same time they may share the studio while I stay in the shed accommodation.
2. The shed accommodation which is a more rustic setup with a private bed and separate space .
Both options have full access to the main house kitchen, bathroom, and laundry.
All the food you need is fully provided, and you will have full access to the kitchen to grab food or cook whenever you want. -
What else ...
We are in a great location that gives you the best of both worlds. While we live in the peaceful bush, we are only a 40 minute drive away from the beach, making it easy to head down to the coast on your days off.
