Description
Welcome to our 18-acre paradise just outside Rossburn, Manitoba! We live in a beautiful, scenic area surrounded by mature trees and rolling Parkland landscapes. Our property balances a mix of manicured yard, a growing vegetable garden, and a 4-to-5-acre hay field.
We are passionate about outdoor living and are currently in the exciting phase of building up our property. We have big plans to turn this space into a thriving small hobby farm, which includes preparing the land to bring in animals in the near future. We are also planning on carving out a network of scenic walking and quad trails through our thick, natural bush so we can enjoy the land year-round.
We are busy with mechanical projects and acreage maintenance—we have a variety of fun tools and equipment to keep the place running, including a ride-on mower, a quad with a snowplow, and an old vintage Ford tractor that we use with various implements. If you love fresh air, wide-open spaces, and seeing a homestead come to life, you'll feel right at home here!
Please note: We are not a farm business; we do not sell anything produced on our property, all for personal use. We are a small homestead getting started with some projects around the acreage. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are Greg and Tracy, and we are building up our acreage while enjoying our two dogs, Finn and Cedar.
You will be staying with us on our peaceful acreage. We have great infrastructure here, including a modern home, a large detached workshop, and plenty of space to relax after a rewarding day of work.
Rossburn is a fantastic, welcoming community close to beautiful lakes, hiking, and outdoor recreation. We love sharing our space, cooking hearty meals, and giving volunteers a true taste of Manitoba country life. -

Help
We are looking for enthusiastic Workawayers who love the outdoors and don't mind getting their hands dirty.
Every day is a bit different here, but typical projects might include:
Hobby Farm Prep: Helping us clear, fence, and prepare areas of the property so we can safely welcome animals down the road.
Trail Making: Clearing brush, trimming branches, and helping layout the walking and quad trails through our woods.
Gardening: Helping plant, weed, maintain, or harvest our large vegetable garden.
General Acreage Maintenance: Helping with firewood, property upkeep, and potentially learning your way around some vintage equipment or tractors if that interests you! -
