Description
Our farm is a very small one on the outskirts of the enchanting historical city of Vasto, a little town of sailors on the Adriatic sea., 2 hrs from Rome and Neaples For forty years (the time when we bought it) it has been worked organically. Currently my husband and I are retired and we need help both in the fields and with the animals .
Main duties required are: ELDERLY COMPANIONSHIP, basic house keepings including: cleaning the green around the house , cleaning of the kitchen, helping with the washing of clothes , sweeping the floor or caring of the chickens and the rabbits, or gardening. The accommodation offered is in a single room close to our rooms. It is possible to reach the centre of town by foot in 20 minutes ; free bike is offered. We are accustomed to hosting in our family and are welcoming in a simple and natural way.
When you stay at home on weekends we guarantee food in exchange of at least 2 help hours a day. If you leave for the weekends your duties will be 25 hrs a week

we have three children now living in Milan, Bologna and Geneve who often come and visit us with our nephews
since they were young we had au pairs from England and Germany
we are quite open minded; we speack English and French and will teach some Italian
most of all we will teach how to run a little farm and how to grow vegetables and transform them (jam, fruit juices, tomato sauces, how to make olive oil....)

in your free time you could go to the beach by car or visiting the interesting historical places all around; Rome and Naples are not that far and there are buses directly from Vasto
we had several volunteers in the past ; two of them spent at least one year with us and still are part of the family
