Description
We are a mother and daughter ( aged 14) living on the Ox mountains in Co. Mayo Ireland, with many scenic walks from the front door. We grow food and have a well on the land - with a stream running through also. There is wildlife here and it is a very peaceful place. I teach yoga and meditation, and am a musician & writer, also studying herbal medicine. We are 15 mins from the nearest town ( Ballina ) and 20 mins from the beach ( Enniscrone Co. Sligo). We are on the main road to Ballina. Needs of the arrangement include helping to develop a tree nursery, vegetable and herb garden, cutting firewood, general garden maintainence, companionship with an elderly neighbour and help with homeschooling.

A space for relaxation and peace. Fluent Irish speaker able to teach also. Live traditional Music. Offering unique access to wild nature, plenty of space for contemplation, this situation would suit a peaceful self contained person who wishes for time out from the bustle of life, and is happy to be in an isolated place. Early morning yoga and meditation practice.

Help
Mostly if you can engage with my daughter and assist in home schooling and creative projects this would be great. We have much land to develop and input and ideas are welcome. Help gardening, around the house, chopping wood, and preparing meals. Also this continues in sharing visits with my elderly neighbour who is very much a fascinating artist.

Accommodation
Staying in a room overlooking the garden with a fireplace that doubles as a day room. Shared bathroom with very basic shower facilities and bath. It is also possible where appropriate to stay in the caravan of my elderly neighbour ( within a reasonable walking distance). I cook soups and vegetarian fare - using fresh ingredients where possible. Open to sharing cooking duties.
What else ...
There is a bus service from Bonniconlon village 5 mins away and it’s possible to cycle there. Plenty of scope for hillwalkers as there is plenty of incredible scenic land to explore. There is also a lake you can swim in a short distance from the house and a local community of artists and inspiring eco / sustainability projects that it is possible to connect with.
Surfing is popular at nearby Enniscrone beach. There is also a nearby lake Lough Talt which is a scenic spot for walking. Other nearby towns are Tubbercurry, Foxford, Cloonacool and Sligo.
