Description
Greetings to the community, we are full for this season! Thank you so much for all your offerings, and sorry for I could not answer so many requests!
We are a family that built a big house to serve as a Lodge in the Andes, Patagonia Argentina. The place is 20km South of the town of Corcovado, 400km South of Bariloche. It is located in the slope of a mountain, half way between the peaks and the valley of the Corcovado River. It is immersed in the forest, many streams drain out of springs, the pure water we drink, as pure as it can be! We did most of the work ourselves, along the last 10 years already. We are now hosting guests though we still have lots of work to do. There is no electricity network, so we use a power generator only when needed (you will need to bring a flashlight). We are currently installing a micro-hydroturbine in one of the streams. The house is heated by radiant floor, the water heated in a big boiler fed with firewood.
There are many activities in which you may help, but right now we need two people with building and hospitality skills, who can help in hospitality while hosting guests, and also with some construction projects while vaccant.
There is no internet connection, but there is signal for cellphones. It is a quite remote location, so you should be able to be away from civilization, as we try not to go to town too often. Maybe once a week unless something comes up.

While life up here is very peacful and enjoyable, it is also a lot of hard work, with all the chores related to living in the country. Making firewood and feeding the boiler, help householding and in the kitchen. We offer nice accommodation and homemade food, beautiful landscapes, the purest water and air, the shiniest stars, and the possibility to make friends!

There are great sites in the surroundings, where you can do activities such as fly fishing (trouts), Birdwatching, Rafting, Horseback riding, Trekking, Climbing (not included), or just relax. Come and experience the pure elements of the Patagonic Far West!
