Description
Traveling as a Way of Life
Traveling, being on the road, being a migrant or explorer is embarking on a unique, conscious, and deeply personal journey each time. It's a rediscovery of oneself, of the community, and of the world. This philosophy is part of who we are and of our hostel, a project conceived and developed by travelers, for travelers, with over 10 years of history.
Our hostel is more than just a place to sleep. It's a space for authentic encounters, where travelers from all over the world come together to share experiences, knowledge, and create lasting connections. Here, in the heart of Patagonia, our space becomes a center for artistic creation, well-being, and connection. It's a place to reconnect, find inspiration, and learn from others.
Built in harmony with the environment, our hostel prioritizes ecological construction and the principles of permaculture, favoring the use of local materials such as adobe, straw, and earth. For over a decade, we have welcomed travelers from all over the world, who have contributed to building this unique space and forging an international community.
Join our project!
You can be part of this story in two ways:
Volunteering: Offer your time and skills to collaborate in the construction and maintenance of the hostel.
Staying: Choose our hostel as your place to rest and join our community of travelers.
A collaborative design
The hostel's design is a collaboration between a local architect and the traveler community. We aim to create a functional, sustainable, and beautiful space that integrates with the natural environment. The hostel will have a capacity of 20 people, including shared dormitories and private rooms, a communal kitchen, a bathroom, and a large 5000 m² park.
An exchange of value
We believe in an exchange of value between travelers and the community. You can pay for your stay with money or with your social contribution, such as:
Cultural activities: Art workshops, music, dance, storytelling, etc.
Community work: Support for local projects, gardening, etc.
Knowledge exchange: Teaching languages, skills, etc.
The El Bolsón community
El Bolsón is a young and vibrant city located in an exceptional natural setting in the Andean Patagonia. The growing influx of tourists and new residents poses challenges such as:
Preserving the local culture and sustainable lifestyle
Integrating new inhabitants into the community
Controlling urban development and protecting the environment
Our hostel seeks to contribute to addressing these challenges by promoting cultural exchange, sustainability, and connection with nature.Types of help and learning opportunities
