    Description

We are an easy going couple on 20 acres in South East Queensland. My husband has injured his shoulder which requires long term rehabilitation and we need a little help around the place with some of the more physical aspects of maintaining acreage. We're not far from the beach and Bribie Island but public transport is not the best so having a car to get around and explore is essential. Horses, dogs, chooks, guinea fowl thrown into the mix too! Comfortable spare bedroom with own bathroom. A stay of a week or two would be best with just a couple of hours help a day.

I am Zimbabwean and my husband is English, we love travelling. This is a great short term opportunity to help on the land. 40min from Brisbane, 40 min from the Sunshine coast. Cool off in the swimming pool or drive to the lovely beaches of Bribie Island for the rest of the day.

Mowing, whipper snippering, helping fix up a couple of horse shelters and some fencing, helping to feed horses on the odd day here or there, It is quite physical and yes we have the usual aussie critters around but don't often see them however boots and jeans are a must to be safe! I (Suse) am out doing 'stuff' every day so we could do tasks together and I can teach you how to use the old tractor too! Just a couple of hours help in the mornings would be amazing.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Public transport in our immediate area is not good so your own car is a must have. We are up early to beat the heat with jobs and enjoy watching a bit of tele in the evenings. We have a good wifi connection. Meals are simple but nutritious and any help in the kitchen for an evening meal is appreciated.
