Maylis has a very good work attitude, she will go the extra mile because she has a heart to help others. She made lovely video’s and helped with fundraising.

Very late feedback here, but Inekke and Randall and all the 3 kids were kind enough to host me, even though I could only stay for one week. Inneke was very flexible with working hours. The farm is still in its early days and lots of work to be done, but they have many great projects planned. Chatting to Randall about his work at the NGO was very

Theres also a nice creek which you can swim inYou can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

We stayed with Randall, Inneke and their kids for four weeks. During that time we helped out with painting the dorms, starting the veggie garden and some small maintenance work on the farm. It was really interesting to see how they are working towards a self sustainable lifestyle. We first stayed in a tent and then moved to the dorms who are

You’ll have to be comfortable with a rustic lifestyle. It was amazing to see that a family moved to SA to make a difference in the lives of the local community. And we were lucky enough to be there when the first kids camp took place. We had our own car and there’s lots to do nearby! We enjoyed having the kids around and playing with them everyday and learned a lot from Randall and Inneke. Thank you again for hosting us! :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Ineke picked us up on our Hostel in PE and drove us 40 Min. to her little house where she lives with her lovely family. We really enjoyed staying with them, sharing meals and helping them on their outstanding project to built a camp. The farm they run is very basic and still at the beginning of a big progress. As they are developing into a self -

If you don't have a tent, Ineke and Randall can provide a huge tent which fits more than 6 people and help you to built it up. They host a lot of animals (pigs, chicken, dogs, cats, donkey, goats and one horse), who run around freely, but we had the feeling, that they are overwhelmed with all these animals and need to learn more about holding them apropiate to their species. (Pellets is not food for every animal, ticks need to be removed regularly in order to avoid infections and if an animal is sick you need to call a vet or find another solution - BUT this is our personal opinion, we could not cope with that and left earlier).
In conclusion one can say, if you're looking for a break from busy life, like to live very rustic and can deal with their style of farmlife then this is the right place for you. You'll find a open - minded and friendly family and a lot of things to do!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
