I had an absolutely wonderful week with Lene, Lars, and the family. Nestled into the Danish countryside near Copenhagen, their home and land is beautiful and a perfect introduction to "farm life." I helped out with some garden maintenance and painting their dad's home and stables. It was manual work, but not intense or stressful. When Lene and I
… read more weren't brushing white paint on walls, she was showing me beautiful nearby areas. I got to go swimming in a fjord, ride one of her horses, lay out by a lake, and, my personal favorite, learn about beekeeping and eat fresh honey from the hives. I also had the chance to go into Copenhagen a couple of times, which is easily accessible by bus/train.
I've done several Workaways, and this one is by far one of my favorites. Not only was my time there enriching, but Lene and her family were some of the happiest, most relaxed people I've ever met. They were welcoming and joyful and I felt right at home. I feel fortunate to have met them and have this experience!

I stayed with the family like two weeks in July and the experience was amazing, I had a really good time :) The place was beautiful, peaceful and quiet... I really recomend it :) Thanks for everything!!!
