    Description

My wife and I are young 60-somethings that live in a nice house overlooking a tidal estuary. Wake up to a beautiful view from your private bedroom. Own bathroom. It is a semi-rural property but is only 2kms from the main motorway, buses and trains into and out of Auckland city. We have travelled fairly extensively to all corners of the world.
We also have a seaside holiday home which we may require assistance with. It is a beautiful spot right on the water and very rural.

As access to trains/buses that can take you into the centre of the city are handy (we can probably drop off and pick up from the local train/bus station), you can get ferries to the islands in the gulf or just tour around Auckland.
We have fairly extensive knowledge of our local area and our country (in general).

    Accommodation

    Home : Superior
Seaside : Basic but quite special.
Food? Well, we eat fairly well but ordinary. Make your own Breakfast and lunch using whatever we have available. We will provide an evening meal and would maybe like you to cook us a meal from your homeland (we would supply the ingredients). We would consult with you on what sort of food you would like to eat and try and accomodate your taste. Probably a bit difficult if you require vegetarian meals, unless you’re prepared to make your own…

    What else ...

There is a wild surf beach about 45 minutes drive away. Safer swimming about 30 minutes away.
The Hauraki gulf is beautiful on a nice day. Waiheke Island is a one hour ferry ride (plus train into the city to connect). Our home is a great place to relax and watch the tide come in and go out from your private deck.
