We are looking for an exchange workawayer: to help us in reception, helping 3 days per week for stay and 1 or 2 days with payment. We also search for someone to help in garden or with maintainence, since our hostel is in an old house we need help painting, and fixing things, we like to keep it nice ☺️. This would be just for exhange for the stay, 3 days per week. We need someone who is a people person, quite social, and friendly. We want to make a name for our hostel, and to have our guests have the best time and remember our place with good and fun memories
Anyone who can do this please write :)

Our hostel is farely new, we started in May 2016, and its been so amayssing quite difficult to explain, the best experience, its quiete a blessing really we love what we do and enjoy every second of it!!! we have had staff members from around the globe: UK, Italia, Spain, Cuba, Trinidad y Tobago, Canary Islands, Argentina, etc and they have all left so much here, we all learn together and grow quite a lot, its crazzy how working in a hostel makes you feel like traveling, which is my passion for we invite you to come and visit so we can meet you and see if we could exchange work together... Our goal is to have a super clean hostel, with an amaysing customer service, great vibe, chill, not a party hostel, mostly older people like 24 up where you can have life changing conversations and go out party but relax, i dont know if you understand but i mean boyfriend and I started the hostel, as a hostel brother to our other hostel in San Jose, which we actually had to closed ☹️ But loved and enjoyed for 6 years!!! Now with only this hostel we have 2 kids: Ela and Teo (4.5 and 2.5 years old) and we have actually become quite a big family since everyone that has worked here is family now, so i guess this is important for us, we believe that if you do things with love and passion and enjoy your tasks you will be happy quite happy so this is like a hobbie, it doesnt feel like work all the time, sometimes it does, but mostly we just love doing it!!!

Our hostel offers many opportunities to experience Costa Rica's rich and exotic culture while making new friends from all over the world. Adventurers often pass through San José on their way to Costa Rica's world famous tourist destinations. Many stay at hostels like ours, seeking to connect with fellow travelers and become immersed in a culture different to their own.
Volunteering at our hostel provides a unique perspective on life in San José through daily interaction with our friendly local staff while developing Spanish and hospitality skills.
Costa Rican tourism companies occasionally offer free promotional tours to receptionists so they can recommend them to guests better. These companies also offer commissions to receptionists when they book tours for guests.
As you experience hostel life as a volunteer your knowledge of Costa Rica will grow and you'll move on to your next adventure with deeper insight into travel, tourism, and international cultural exchange.

Our hostel is located in the university area in San Jose, called San Pedro, Close to auto Mercado, as well as downtown and University of Costa Rica, which means there are many cafes, bars, restaurants, buses stop in front of the hostel, taxis on both sides, mall crossing the street and a biger mall a couple blocks away, pretty well located for living here!! What we are looking for is someone that would like to work in exchange of stay, so you would have to work 3 days a week: we have 2 staff members in reception: 1 works from 8am to 3pm and the other one from 3pm to 10pm, the one it’s mostly reception work but we also take care of keeping clean bathrooms, rooms and common areas, organize the hostel, help out and comunicate with our guests and make sure reception is perfectly in order
We are needing an afternoon reception staff from Monday to Friday

If you are interested even tough you might not have experience in hostels, that is no problem, please contact us!!
Requirement for volunteer: minimum 6 months of stay.
