    Description

Hi! My name is Cea and a small group of us are starting an eco community on 165 acres on a pristine mountain vale in southern BC. Our focus is on creating a replicable permaculture orchard & farm as well as offering nurturing earth based healing experiences. We are focusing on developing our permaculture orchard, market garden, farm with animals (goats, chickens & bees so far), and natural home buildings.

When you come you will be welcomed by the eco community group and will share in our community meals, mostly outdoors under our pergola. We are building this community from the ground up. We already have an artisan agri building with a common kitchen and hang out area with games, musical instruments, turkish daybeds with cushions & throws. We have cell service and some wifi access.

We also have an outdoor kitchen, screened tent for massage or energywork exchanges, a fire circle gathering area, a slackline and hammock plantation in the trees (on hot afternoons we siesta there after lunch). We have 165 acres of beautiful nature surrounding us so much opportunity for hiking, forest bathing and contemplation. There is a camping area (bring your tent and camping gear or stay in our tents) in the trees or meadow by creek, an outdoor tub in aspen grove, and a showerhouse with a changeroom & sink. Mostly open air and glorious!

Our expectation is that those who feel drawn to be a part of creating this eco community is that they will be involved in the projects and social life going on, although may use personal time as desired.

We have a stretch/ yoga, quigong or short mindfulness meditation every morning and then a quick check in circle and make a work plan for the day. You may join in with whatever project most suits or interests you. Work projects range from gardening in market garden, building a root cellar, building a greenhouse, building fences, feeding goats and chickens, cooking and meal prep & clean up, general maintenance rocket stove building, and helping to build earthbag and cob houses.

We use non-violent communication (NVC) as a way of maintaining good communication and relations as well as addressing any concerns in a safe and friendly way, and expect visitors to be self responsible (checking in with self and asking for what you need, lookiing after self in a healthy way, to ensure you are able to be your best self while here). We want everyone to enjoy their experience here!

Camping - tents with beautiful shower house, tub in the grove (open air), outdoor and indoor kitchens and hang out areas. We have a screened tent for massage or energywork exchanges, a fire circle gathering area, a slackline and hammock plantation in the trees (on hot afternoons we siesta there after lunch). You will be surrounded by 165 acres of beautiful nature, prolific wildlife (deer, coyotes, foxes, marmots, wolves, bear, moose, cougar- but don't worry, tenting is inside a 5 acre protected by an electric fence to keep wildlife out of homesite & farm area), so much opportunity for hiking, forest bathing and contemplation in nature.
