Description
We are a veterinary reproduction farm. We have a busy season from March to August and are looking for help with taking care of the horses during this time . The position is good for a person who has experience working with horses and on a farm. We have mares that come in for breeding and foaling as well as stallions - we work hard but have a lot of fun in the process

MUST BE EXPERIENCED with HORSES - NO EXCEPTIONS. Horse Handling and knowledge is required - this job is not to learn about horses or how to ride but there is an opportunity to expand your knowledge on horses and to learn about equine reproduction and get involved in the horse community near by - we are very close to Fort Langley BC as well as many hiking trails and lakes great for the outdoor adventure - whistler BC is a 3h drive

paid position MUST HAVE experience handling horses and some farming experience ( dairy ect) - feeding and caring for horses is the top priority. Other duties include helping by handeling horses for veterinary procedures as well as odd jobs around the farm such a lawn mowing, helping keeping the farm looking nice and in working order

Accommodation
accommodation is a privet bedroom bunkie with access to a shared - the bathroom and kitchen facilities. You will be provided accommodation and , internet but you would be responsible for your own meals and shopping we are not on a public bus route so a car or taxi/ uber may be necessary . We do have bikes regular as well as electric bikes available for use and you can bike into Fort Langley it’s about 13km away has nice coffee shops , grocery stores and boutique shops it’s a. tourists area / destination as well .

We are close to Fort Langley BC, a trendy little town with nice coffee shops and some great places to eat out - 3h drive and you are in Whistler BC, but we are close to many lakes and hiking trails only minutes away - if you are a horse back rider we are 15 minutes form Thunderbird show park and many other riding facilities - our staff members are all horse back riders we are a mix of western cutters, cross country eventers and Jumper riders

we can provide water and power hook up - no pets unfortunately our dog is people friendly - Dog aggressive 🤷🏼♀️ and not good with little kids - so nope no chance don’t even apply or ask its a HARD NO to any additional pets or if traveling with children

Bull Terrier - people friendly - dog aggressive especially with tiny tiny dogs - with large breeds she is fine - however if traveling with your own dog - this farm is not for you :)
