We spent really nice time here! We stayed with Ilka for 3 days during which we worked at the garden ,ate deliciously and even managed to see the city from the perfect spot of the famous restaurant ! My weekend stay at Ilka was brief but I really enjoyed it. The job was uncomplicated and satisfying, and we were lucky to have good weather which I could enjoy during my breaks. I spent a great weekend at Ilka's. She is a very kind person, who helped me in more ways than one - for instance I lacked warm clothes for the winter, so she brought me to a flea market and in the end gave me some!
I mostly helped her harvest potatoes and beans from the garden : the work was simple enough and satisfying.
The weather was mostly

Plus she's a very very good cook who makes wonder of the vegetables she grows.
Thanks again for everything Ilka! Big hug to you and your stressed but adorable cats. :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I had the best time at Ilkas place! Her house and garden are very beautiful welcoming, and no matter in which direction you look, the views are stunning. I learned a lot about gardening and the work was a lot of fun. I mainly helped harvesting the peas, but also build a small fence :) all the meals Ilka cooked were super delicious with a lot of

We spent 4 incredible nights at Ilkas beautiful home. She is a really friendly and generous host. We had interesting conversation full of laughter and fun! Not only the simple part of the stay but also the work was fun even if sometimes we had to activate our muscles. But the end, the results showed that it was worth the effort. Thanks for hosting

We had a wonderful time at Ilka's idyllic home, which is surrounded by nature. We were able to walk directly into the forest after work and pick mushrooms and berries. The berries were then made into a crumble, to name just one of the delicious dishes Ilka and her mum cooked for us.
We helped Ilka with the gardening and cleaning her attic. The

All in all, we had a good three days at Ilka's home, which we remember fondly and which demand a repeat! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

It was a pleasure for us to meet Ilka and to stay at her house. We helped her with the garden and also cooked a typical italian recipe.
Even if we stayed only 3 days, we learnt many things and had an interesting cultural exchange.
We got deeply inspired by her green ideas and her forest garden project!
Thank you very much for hosting us!

Lovely couple! Very adaptable, experienced travellers, guests and workers! Easy communicating and good humour. Focused on to finish the work before leaving - fantástico! Mucha suerte and I will never forget you!
We had a great time during the 4 days we stayed at Ylka's place. She was very kind and warm welcoming us on easter time.
Interesting talks, feeling at home, warm shower, lovely homemade food, tea time, crocheting, cooking together and exchanging Easter traditions from our countries are some of the things we were sharing and enjoying.

It was very nice to have Janina as my working guest. Everytime again! She helped me with ideas about renovating my house and the solution is really great! It was easy to communicate, a big advance of course was that we both are germans. I wish her good luck!

The 4 days I spent at Ilka’s place were everything I was looking for in a workaway experience. I got to taste amazing food that are found from her garden, helped her to build a geodesic dome (in which I contributed to sand the wooden triangle pieces), and worked on my Norwegian listening skill as she talked to her neighbors.
The work is

As she’s knowledgeable, thoughtful, and friendly, I felt comfortable being with her from day one. I enjoyed exchanging stories and learning more about Norway, permaculture and other things. Oh, have I mentioned that she’s also a great cook? :)
All in all it was a fantastic first workaway experience. I got to see another part of Norway that I may not have even considered before. I wish I could’ve stayed longer! Thanks for having me, Ilka! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
