Description
We are an Indo-German family with three sons (7, 5, and a baby) living on the beautiful island of Karimunjawa, Indonesia. I’m Patricia (36) from Germany, and my husband Eddy (44) is originally from Bandung. Our family also includes two dogs and one cat, so there’s always something going on around here 😊
We chose to live on this island to give our children a peaceful life, closely connected to nature. Our boys are full of energy and a strong sense of adventure. They love spending their time in the water, climbing trees, or playing with a ball. They are very open-minded and easy to connect with. They speak German, Indonesian and English fluently. To strengten their German reading and writing skills, we need a passionate teacher with pre-school and primary school experiences and speaks German as native language.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will gain a deep insight into the Indonesian way of life, the local food and of course Indonesian and Javanese language. As a cross-cultural and cross-religious family, we can "open your eyes" for the local way of thinking. We are also happy to connect you to the NGO who is regularly running cultural events.

Help
We are currently looking for a primary school teacher who can teach our sons reading, writing, and basic math in German. It is important to us that you can stay at least two months with us, ideally 6 months. We are very happy to support a 6months stay visa. Each child would need a maximum of 1.5 hours per day—one session from 11:00-12:30, the other one from 14:00-15:00. This means you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy relaxed mornings or spend your afternoons at the beach.
