Hello 😊
We are Mel & Peter.
Join us at our farm on the mid north coast of NSW near Port Macquarie where we look after 2 beautiful properties.
We offer a comfortable bedroom in the main house, sometimes we enjoy breakfast at the beach, there are lots of kangaroos and native Australian birds to see while helping us around the house and on our cattle farm.
We live 15 minutes drive from the beach and at times we stay 30 minutes up the valley on the other property in the countryside.
We prefer a 2 week minimum stay.

We love to share our country NSW lifestyle:
Sunrise coffee and breakfast at the beach
Relax in the hot tub in winter
Yoga by the beach in summer
Learn animal husbandry
Learn basic farm duties
Experience native wildlife including kangaroos, kookaburras, Rosellas and cockatoos, green tree frogs.
We enjoy sitting around the dinner table to share our meals and talk about what is going on here in Australia as well as discussing many things from around the world. We believe we can all learn from each other.
We provide food and accommodation in exchange for help.
Our past helpers have also had time for a surf lesson at the local beach, visit the koala hospital, and enjoy the coastal walks.
Help
General help on the farms, this might include weed spraying, fixing fences. You do not need special skills, we can teach what you need to know.

You will stay in your own large room in our home which has a double bed and a single bed.
Occasionally we stay at the other property which has a fully serviced off grid cabin and a roof top tent
What else ...
Port Macquarie is a 4 hour drive north of Sydney. There is a train from Brisbane or Sydney and we can pick you up from Wauchope train station if you do not have a car. Port Macquarie is a good halfway stop for travellers on their way to Byron Bay.
We suggest you use Telstra SIM card for mobile phone reception when travelling away from the big cities.

We arrived on a Thursday. We worked Friday at their farm, then Saturday and Sunday at the other farm in Byabarra, 40min away. The following week, we had Monday, Thursday and Sunday off. We often slept in a roof tent in Byabarra, it was fun!
