Description
Build from scratch, without plan, the place is either the result and the manifestation of a crazy jump in the unknown. Located between dreams and reality, we are where the magic is happening. Any culture, anybody is welcome.
We currently employ 11 paid local staff members with the following roles:

Our mission is to create happiness and unforgettable memories. It is not just a hostel—it’s a one-of-a-kind experience unlike anything you’ve seen before. With a unique and innovative concept, we go beyond accommodation, offering a space where adventure, creativity, and connection come to life.
Workawayers will gain immense cultural and language exchange benefits while staying with us. Our daily programs include:
Socializing with international guests and local staff.
Engaging in beach sports with guests and locals.
Activities such as sunset viewing, bonfires, beach volleyball, snorkeling, freediving, live music, and day trips to neighboring islands.
We also provide a variety of additional perks to create a rewarding and enriching experience, including:
Participation in all hostel-paid activities free of charge, such as:
Sunset Boat Trips (2x per week, valued at IDR 250,000 per trip). Dinner Included
Traditional Buffet Family Dinner (2x per week, valued at IDR 70,000).
Gili Trawangan Night Out (1x per week, round-trip valued at IDR 170,000).
Thursday Hostel Party Night with a complimentary alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink.
Free Scuba Diving (if Workawayers assist with promotion and recommendations for our diving program).
Unlimited Local Coffee and Tea.
A 30% discount on food and beverage consumption at the hostel.
With these complimentary activities and experiences, we believe our exchange exceeds expectations and offers Workawayers a truly immersive and rewarding cultural experience.
Once Workawayers join us, they instantly become part of our family. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our staff are warm, engaging, and actively interact with Workawayers and guests through music, singing, games, and shared moments. The atmosphere fosters genuine connections and memorable experiences for everyone.
We provide two meals a day, with breakfast served in the morning and a complimentary meal in the evening. Breakfast options include a selection of crepes, pancakes, or an omelet. In the evening, dinner is offered during special events like the Sunset Boat Trip or Family Dinner.

Who We’re Looking For:
1. Social & Engagement Enthusiasts
Are you full of energy, love being around people, and enjoy creating a fun atmosphere? Your role will involve organizing and leading activities to keep our guests engaged. If this feels more like play than work, we’d love to have you! Minimum stay: 3 weeks.
2. Artists & Creatives
Rabbit Tree is more than a hostel—it’s a living art space! If you’re a painter, illustrator, or have any other creative skills, we’d love for you to contribute while respecting the unique character of our space.
3. Digital & Analytical Minds
We need help improving our online presence, managing promotions, and organizing internal systems. Skills in Excel, accounting, or digital marketing would be a great asset!
4. Photography & Social Media Experts
If you travel with a wide-angle camera or have Instagram marketing experience, you can help us capture and share the magic of Rabbit Tree with the world.
5. Organizers & Planners
As a young and evolving hostel, we’re looking for volunteers who can help with task management, team coordination, and improving daily operations. If you love bringing structure and efficiency, we need you!
