  Description

  We are a family of 7 persons but some of our children are abroad or in High School. Our current project is to renovate the house and the garden. Our house is surrounded by woods and we have a large garden in wich we want to raise chickens and goats. We are a sympathic family, not too much organised but a little bit of rules of good manners permit to live quietly. Our house is located at Ham-sur-Heure in Belgium, a nice and quite little village near Charleroi. We like cycling, walking, reading or playing music.
  
  Nous sommes une famille de 7 personnes, mais plusieurs de nos enfants sont à l'étranger ou à l'université. Notre projet actuel est de rénover notre maison et aménager notre grand jardin. Notre maison est entourée par la forêt et nous avons un grand espace dans lequel nous souhaiterions installer des poules et des chèvres. Nous sommes une famille accueillante, ouverte aux autres cultures. Nous avons un chien et un chat.

  Our village and the surrounding villages are appreciated for their folk traditions and their rural side. You can go hiking, cycling, jogging, mountain biking. We are located a few km from Charleroi, where there is a lot of entertainment (libraries, cinemas, theaters, museums, bars, etc.). It can be reached by train or bus. We live 50 km from Brussels, also easily accessible.
  Not far from us, the Eau d'Heure Dams offer different aquatic activities (windsurfing, paddle, wakeboard, etc.).
  
  Notre village et les villages environnants sont appréciés pour leurs traditions folkloriques et leur côté champêtre. On peut y faire de la randonnée, du vélo, du jogging, du VTT. Nous nous trouvons à quelques km de Charleroi, où il y a pas mal d'animation (bibliothèques, cinémas, théâtres, musées, bars, ...). On peut y accéder en train ou en bus. Nous vivons à 50 km de Bruxelles, facilement accessible également.
  Non loin de chez nous, les Barrages de l'Eau d'Heure offrent différentes activités aquatiques (planche à voile, paddle, wakeboard, ...).

  Help

  We need help to prune trees, cut and store wood, arrange the garden, mow, clear brush, install fences, but also for the finalization of our work: plastering, plating, cleaning, dismantling, etc.
  The workawayer will work with us most of the time on the building, sometimes alone in the garden, depending on the schedule and needs.
  
  Nous avons besoin d'aide pour élaguer les arbres, couper et ranger du bois, aménager le jardin, tondre, débroussailler, installer des clôtures, mais aussi pour la finalisation de nos travaux : plafonnage, plaquage, nettoyage, démontage, ...
  Le workawayer travaillera la plupart du temps avec nous pour le bâtiment, parfois seul dans le jardin, en fonction de l'horaire et des besoins.

  Accommodation

  The workawayer will have a nice room (16m²) with a good bed and a bathroom. The workawayer will respect the property of the common places and participate to the cleaning.
  Concerning food, he or she will of course eat with us, if he/she wants. We just ask our host to notify if he/she wants to share ou meal.
  
  Nous proposons à notre hôte une belle chambre (16m²), avec un bon lit, et une salle de bain partagée.
  Nous demandons à notre hôte de veiller à la propreté des lieux et de participer à l'entretien de l'espace commun.
  Nous offrons les repas à notre hôte, s'il le souhaite. Nous lui demandons néanmoins de nous prévenir à l'avance s'il partage le repas avec nous.

  What else ...

  25 kilometers from our house there is the "barrages de l'eau d'heure"., a charming lake with a lot of nautic activities. Charleroi is at ten kilometers from our house and there is also museums like "le musée de la photo", BPS22. For listening music you can go to Charleroi for example at the Rockerill ou in Brussels (1 hour by train).
