We are an English couple living in a small hamlet in south-west France, 2 kilometers from our local village, 10 kilometers from the nearest small town which has a cinema, modern Nordic aquatic centre as well as good restaurants and bars.
Our home is 40 kilometers south of Poitiers, which is well-served by rail and international flights. The property is surrounded by beautiful fields to walk/cycle around, and we can provide transport into town and show you around. We have two large friendly dogs, two small goats, and a parrot. We are relaxed and friendly and will do our best to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
In 2016 we will be happy to host Workawayers with experience in DIY projects, including carpentry, painting, and gardening, who are physically fit and willing to work hard in exchange for a warm welcome, plenty of good food, wine and company and an opportunity to learn about French rural life. We would be prepared to consider hosting a working couple and would prefer mature, experienced Workawayers who have good feedback from previous hosts.
We are vegetarians, but carnivores are welcome if to cook their own meat.
Hope to hear from you! If you'd like more information, let me know.
