Description
I live in the western foothills of the Teton Mountain Range. My husband and I built our house in 2025 with a ‘Japandi’ aesthetic (Japanese and Scandinavian.) You can expect lots of windows peering out to our Aspen grove, a peaceful neighborhood, and slow, late autumn vibes. November is when tourist season generally calms down, so town feels less hectic, trails are emptier, and the pace of life is slow. Think long, cool fall hikes and returning to a cozy woodstove hearth. We take a surf trip every fall and look for someone to watch and care for our two kitties. Müesli is the ‘mama’ cat and has free rein to come and go, she loves to be outside if it’s nice out! Her daughter, Ursa has a medical condition and is much more sedentary but loves gentle people.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Teton Valley is a rich cultural hub, hosting an eclectic mixed population. We have families that have lived here since the 1800’s, a broad population of outdoor enthusiasts, as well as migrant agricultural workers and their families. Just a mountain pass drive away from the iconic Jackson Hole. There are excellent restaurants here, a few fun wine and dive bars, several local hotsprings, and ample opportunities to enjoy the beautiful nature, whether it’s floating the river, hiking, biking, rock climbing. The local ski hill, Grand Targhee usually opens for skiing the weekend after Thanksgiving. Being here you will experience a typical American mountain town.

Help
We are looking for someone who would benefit from a restful and restorative extended stay in our mountain home. The cats don’t require much, but need the basics: twice daily feedings, letting Müesli the mama cat out in the mornings and in, in the evenings, cleaning the litter box every other day, and just a loving presence. We keep a clean home and would prefer someone similar who enjoys maintaining a tidy and cozy living space.

Accommodation
We have a newly built 2 bed, 2bath home which we designed using passive solar principles, we also have radiant in-floor heat on two floors, and a wood burning stove on the main floor. There may be a car available to you if you can provide a drivers license and are eligible to drive according to federal and state standards, and can drive a stick shift. You will be responsible for your own food.

What else ...
A 10 minute drive from the two local towns, Victor or Driggs, and about a 45 minute drive to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
