    INNER CITY MELBOURNE HOME
    My name is Jacqueline and it is my pleasure to welcome you into my home. I host single travellers only. I offer a peaceful and relaxing home in an inner-city Melbourne suburb, with easy access to the city’s sights and attractions. My home is very close to the CBD, as well as Newport Lakes and Williamstown Beach. Public transport is extremely convenient, with a bus stop just 60 seconds from the front door and a train station a short walk away, taking you into the CBD in only a few stops. You’ll enjoy a unique location that combines city convenience with access to the beach, a small lake, and a charming, artsy village.

    My home is a ‘No smoking, No drug and No alcohol’ home. (If you smoke you can smoke outside.)

    I am a professional, community-minded woman in my late 50s. I am currently writing two books and a screenplay in the personal development genre. I also teach communication, including interpersonal skills and professional presentations. I enjoy travelling and opening my home to people from around the world when I am not on the road myself. I naturally gravitate towards open-hearted, generous, and self-aware individuals. Most of the people I surround myself with are making a positive difference in the world or are on a spiritual or personal growth journey. I love going out to enjoy music, theatre, and dancing, and I value staying fit, eating healthily, and spending time outdoors in nature.

    If you think you can make a positive contribution in my home and that we have some things in common then please get in touch - I would love to hear from you. I offer short term 5 day stays but may also consider longer stays - just ask and I can let you know if it is possible or not.

    Please make an initial enquiry by email and state...

    (a) How you would most enjoy assisting me through the Workaway exchange;
    (b) The date you would like to arrive and the length of time you would like to stay.

    Please leave a way for me to contact you on whatsapp, skype, Australian phone number or whatever contact method you are comfortable.

    Please note:
    Check In/Arrival Time at my home is between 1.00pm and 5.00pm. An arrival time outside of these times can be arranged, so please ask and I can let you know what can be arranged.

    - Fill in a Personal Details form.

    If you have a generous and giving nature and are willing and happy to share your skills and make a valued contribution in my home then we are the right match.

    I have a good knowledge of Melbourne, which I’m happy to share to help you have a brilliant stay in this beautiful city.

    I work full-time and volunteer with a few organisations, so the time we spend together may be limited, but I can promise it will be quality time in a relaxed, friendly environment where we can connect, discuss ideas, and learn from each other. I’m interested in your life, perspective, and culture, and I look forward to sharing my own experiences in return.

    My family has lived in Australia for multiple generations, so I can introduce you to the true-blue Aussie culture from a by-gone era.

    Over the years, I’ve supported international students and travellers preparing for IELTS exams and finding work. I’m up to date on the best places to visit in Melbourne, how to meet people, and a variety of low-cost or free experiences around the city, and I’m happy to share my knowledge for your benefit.
