Note:
At the moment I am especially looking for a person who can stay with us helping with day to day houshold tasks such as laundry and vacuuming, plus some bigger clean outs and smal renovation projects indoors. There will also be a need for some simple childcare (the children take care of themselves, but it is a security that there is an adult in the house.). We mainly want a person with good experience in housework / cleaning, who can work independently with these tasks. Due to the corona situation, we mainly want a person from inside the borders, or who comes from safe zones.
I am a 32 years old woman, living on a miniature farm in Gausdal, Norway. My fiancé lives 2 hours away, in Hønefoss, and we alternate between being in Gausdal and in Hønefoss on the weekends. Together, we have tree young boys at the age of 9 and 6. We also have two cats. I am the principal at a school near by, and i am engaged in local community matters. I am interested in eco-friendly living and local traditions, combined with beeing a contemporary woman. I am also fond of running, beeing outdore in the wilderness, and spending time with family and friends.

We live close to nature, in the heart of Norway. Here the travellers can find forests and mountains to explore. I can give a helping hand when comes to transport, and provide compani in tours of the scenery. My parents and grandparents live close bye, and the traveler are invitet to take part in our family activityes to experience traditional norwegian living. Travellers are also welcom to take part in learning traditional cooking and food handeling, harvesting from nature, as well as arts and crafts, during the periods when it is season for such.
On my small holding there are allways a lot of small tasks to be dealt with, such as painting, fencing and gardening, in adition to giving a helping hand in normal houshold tasks. e.x. some cooking, babysitting for small periods, cleaning and so on. The house in Hønefoss also needs to be taken care of, and it will vary somewhat in where it is desirable for the workers to be.

- Local museums/sights such as Maihaugen () and Aulestad ()
- greate skiing opportunities in the winter, both cross country skiing and alpine.
Even though we do not live far from people, we do not live very central either. During the workweek we will be at work/school for about 6-8 hours a day. Please consider if you think you will get to be bored spending time on your own. If you find having time to read, think, go for a walk, enjoying your own company, talking to the cat, singing in the rain and listening to the silence to be a good thing, than I am the perfect host for you. And of cours, we do have some bus conection, and I can also drop you of somewhere before work if you like. And you can off course borrow my bike to get around. It can also be weekends where we are away so that guests will have to be alone at home.
Because we alternate between staying in Gausdal and in Hønefoss on the weekends, it is possible for our guests to join Hønefoss if they wish and it fits with our plans. It may also be that we want help for something in Hønefoss, and therefore may be asking if our guests can join there to work. Of course, we agree this in advance. In all cases, travel costs will not be incurred, and guests will have the opportunity to experience more aspects of our wonderful country.
We (adults) mainly have a vegan diet. The children eat everything, and this can therefore also be offered to our guests.

The house has wifi connection. The line can be a bit unstable when there are a lot of people in the house, but works mostly fine. The workers will have their own room, with a table they can work at.
There is plenty of space around the house in Gausdal
Dogs can be accepted, but it is a prerequisite that they get along well with children and cats, that they can be close to sheep (summer time), that they are quiet indoors and can be alone in the owner's room if needed
