    Description

Ciao , Hola , Hi...we are Valentina , Carmine and Luna.
We are a family who's looking for a girl who can stay with our daughter Luna, (age 9),while we are working. I would like our helper to speak spanish or english with Luna, you can learn italian with us.
We are a creative and artistic family...a bit out of line!!
Summer is a really busy season for us, for this reason we are looking for a "special friend" to spend time with Luna ,and we are happy to share our home ,and also time together.
Polignano a Mare is an amazing place, it's a small town in the south of Italy, in the Puglia region, it is a touristic town, and in the summer it is very busy.
Beautiful sea, beautiful caves, good food, night life, you will enjoy it!!
The area around Polignano a Mare is also very intresting, with tourist towns such as Monopoli, Alberobello and Ostuni.
Polignano is just 33km from the city of Bari.
I'm Valentina, I'm 44 . I work on a boat that offers boat trips along the coast.
I lived , studied,( set disegn for cinema) and worked in Madrid for about 10 years.
I speak fluent spanish and english. My interests are music, I do Taiko, Japanese drum playing, cooking, drawing.
My husband Carmine, he's an artist . He paints and creates art works in wood and other matierials.
Luna, the reason I'm writing to you, is a happy, lively girl. She loves dancing, she goes to dance classes and is learning to play the guitar. She loves going to the beach and swimming, so I'm looking for someone who also likes going to the beach.
The other members of my family are my mother Angela, my father Francesco, my sister Susanna and her husband Gianni.
My mother is english, she teaches english, she loves singing and cooking and meeting peolple.
My father is retired and his hobby is fishing. He has a small fishing boat.
My sister Susanna is an events organiser, she plays the piano and sings.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Polignano a Mare provides a number of social and cultural events during the summer.
One in particular is San Vito Festival from 14th to 16 th June , to celebrate the patron saint of the town. A caracteristic of this event is a procession by sea of the patron saint, which is then taken in procession in town. The town is filled with illuminations, stalls, bands playing music, etc. Other cultural events are , for example, the book festival in July, Red Bull Cliff Diving, this year on 28th and 29th June.
In Puglia like in our home typical cuisine is an important cultural exchange.
My family is open to learning from other cultures.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

In your free time, you can do what you want! Go to our local pebble beaches, bars ,restautants, Pino Pascali contemporary art museum, and public library, take the train or bus to visit the towns around us. The train station is just 5 minutes from our home. You can go for walks. There is a lovely footpath/cycling path along the coast towards a local fishing village called San Vito , just 3 kilometres from Polignano . We have bikes that you can use and you can go cycling with Luna.
We are very open minded but no smoking inside the home.
We do not have Wi-Fi , and we do not have a TV.
When we are together I can share my Hot Spot
