    Description

I have a small holding that is at the entrance to a gorge on the river Teifi. The land has older native woodland and newer (9-10 year) woodland that we planted since being here. I have a garden by the house that has recently been landscaped using reclaimed materials (already on site) as much as possible - and a fruit and vegetable growing area that is managed using no dig/permaculture/organic principles - accessed through the woodland.
My amazing husband and I moved here 14 years ago but sadly, he died in 2019 so I am also learning to live a different life without him whilst getting on with all that needs doing. I learned loads from him.
I am longterm (predominantly) plant-based/vegan with grown up children in their 20s (who are all vegan pretty much too). I am deeply concerned about what humans have done and continue to do to harm our planet.
I live and teach both Alexander Teacher and Nonviolent Communication (NVC). My business is called Restoring Connections and that is also my mission in life.

We are located in west Wales, where Welsh is spoken widely so there is an opportunity to engage with the Welsh culture. That said, although I know lots of Welsh words, I don't speak it myself.

I am happy to talk to you about Permaculture, Nonviolent Communication, Sustainability, Veganism and food, good films and books, cultural differences and much more
I am also happy to have you meet my friends as and when I meet up with them and join me in things I happen to do socially.

    Help

In a few months I will be moving house. There is much to be done to keep the land looked after, to declutter (as I am down-sizing), to pack and run my own business. As a recently widowed person with land and a big house, to stay sane I need support!

I would love to find someone who is a good allrounder to help me. This could include:

Weeding and gardening in my back garden by the river and also on my beautiful land where I grow vegetables with amazing views across the valley.
Sanding and revarnishing /painting indoor and outdoor furniture
    Helping me pack boxes
    Moving boxes/furniture with me
    A little house-cleaning
Making/helping make good nutritious plant-based food for us
    Moral support!

    Ideally you will be
    Vegetarian or willing and able to make and eat predominantly plant-based food;
    Willing to do varied jobs
Unless you come with someone, you will need to be someone that can do tasks by yourself without getting lonely as I will not often be able to help alongside you.
    Fun to be around!

We will surely chat at meal times and work together sometimes, but my life is very busy so I can't offer much 'entertainment'. I have Netflix/TV and internet and lovely local walks near by.

My experience of having helpers so far is that we have enjoyed interesting conversations at meal times about all sorts of topics - I hope I will learn from you as much as you learn from me. If you have interest in Nonviolent Communication, I will happily tell you all about it!

    What else ...

We are in a remote area with limited public transport (from Monday to Saturday - none in evenings)
Lovely river walks alongside property and fabulous beaches a 30 min car ride away
The towns of Carmarthen and Cardigan (30 mins drive) and Newcastle Emlyn (12 mins drive) all have interesting things to offer and as things slowly open up again going out for a coffee locally has become an option again.
I travel to the nearest towns from time to time and lifts will be an option when I do. I can also drop you up to, and pick you up from, the bus stop to town if needed
