It's your typical family with an atmosphere of love, Christian fellowship, and strong principles. It was a learning, chaotic, and humbling experience for me. Yuka is a very pleasant young lady. She was easy to talk to and brought a good atmosphere into our home. She was good with the children and enjoyed taking them to the park.
By the time she left, Yuka was really beginning to understand our routine and was of good assistance. We wish her all the best in her travels.

I got wonderful experiences in there. Anthea, Leon, Josiah, Elijah, and Asher were so kind, and they gave me warm welcome. Anthea and Leon asked me a lot about Japan. Also, I learnt about British culture from them. I am so grateful that I had an experience living with this lovely family.

I enjoyed my trip in England. I could visit Bedford, Oxford, Cambridge and London. I enjoyed to walk in the parks around the house. I stayed more than three months with this lovely family and I couldn't have asked for a better place to have this experience! I had the greatest time with Anthea, Leon and the boys. I had the incredible opportunity to spend 3 months with this amazing family and the moments I spent with them will remain among the most beautiful moments of my life.
Working with 3 children requires a lot of energy, commitment, organisation, creativity and constant attention but in return you will receive a dose of love beyond your expectations.
… read more Elijah, Josiah and Asher are deeply lovable children, perfectly behaved, full of good will and always ready to give you the smile. They love outdoor play and can have fun with anything.
Anthea and Leon are flexible and convenient with working hours, which has allowed me to travel and explore England (Cambridge, Oxford, London, Dublin and Bedford) as well as its culture.
I am deeply grateful for their life and the way they dedicate everything they have to God. Being with us, inspired me because they truly aims at putting Christ in every situation they face. I can't count the countless advices they gave me, that have helped me grow with God, not to mention our long evening discussions about God.
In short, I can recommend this family wholeheartedly, as they have become an extension of my own family through this experience. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Anthea and Leon were not only great hosts, but have become my family. They were extremely welcoming from the moment I messaged them, and made me feel comfortable. They have three lovely young boys who love to read, play, and are very creative. A lot of my time was spent with them and I loved watching them learn new things and play together. As a Workawayer, you will spend a lot of time with them. A few of the activities we did were exploring the beautiful park in the neighborhood (a great place to decompress and walk in nature), arts and crafts, reading, etc. If you are someone who is interested in childcare; then this is an amazing opportunity to hone your skills in teaching and interacting with young children. It helped me become more confident in my abilities.
Most importantly, this is a family that loves God and it is evident in the way they conduct themselves in their day to day lives. I grew so much in my faith from simply being around them. From the worship sessions, to the spontaneous late night chats about life and countless advice that helps build a young person on their journey with God or life in general. If you are someone who is needing fellowship, and/or are curious about what being in connection with God is like; then this is the right family for you. In one way or another you will benefit from being around such loving people. I am forever grateful for the countless ways they helped me, and am honored to have met them. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Anthea and Leon were wonderful hosts and welcomed me as part of their family for six weeks. Traveling to a new area is much less intimidating when you're immediately part of a family unit and Anthea and Leon understood that role completely.

Caroline has come and stayed with our family for six weeks. She was excellent at keeping in contact before she came, provided a referee (the reference was exceptional). She then has absolutely lived up to that reference!

Caroline has an excellent understanding of social graces and has been flexible where needed. She is also great company and has a pleasant demeanour.

My only complaint, is that she is not staying longer! She comes highly recommended by our whole family.Help us at a horse, pony and donkey rescue charity in the hills of South West Wales, UK
