    Description

Greetings from our Hostel! We are an owner-operated hostel in Golden, British Columbia; a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. We cater to active and outdoorsy people, and not to the party crowd. We have a quiet time from 11.30pm to 7am during which our common areas are closed in order to ensure all our guests can enjoy a good sleep and are well rested for the adventures to come. It is very important to us that we provide a welcoming, clean and safe place to our guests and our staff!

The work at the hostel involves various cleaning duties, bed making, front-desk, check- ins, building maintenance and assisting guests with activity planning. We prefer to take staff that can commit to an entire season, Golden and it's surroundings has so much to offer, you won't get bored!

--> paid positions during the summer season 2023: we currently would like to hear from people that can commit to working with us for the entire season (May 15 to Oct 15) <--
We understand that this might feel like a big commitment when your goal is to travel around, but our area has plenty to offer and we are quite flexible with our schedules. We offer a wage of $17/hr and there are staff rooms at the hostel. Hours vary depending on how busy the hostel is but you will have at least 2 days off per week.
Please note that we require a valid work permit to work at the hostel.

Go and explore the six national parks that are within day-trip distance. There are endless trails close to town that you can bike or run on. Two rivers you can paddle. Lakes to swim. And have we told you about the canoe, SUP, kayaks, bikes and other toys that we have at the hostel and that are yours to play with? To top it off we will make sure you'll get to see and do a bunch of cool stuff that's at our doorstep: Skybridge - Canada's highest suspension bridges, Kicking Horse Resort - home to Boo the Bear and Canada's highest restaurant, the Columbia Wetlands, Rafting the Kicking Horse River, the Wolf Sanctuary... and more!
We love leading an active life and we strongly encourage our staff to do so as well!
