Description
My name is Orrin And My wife Gina and I have a small acreage in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island in British Columbia,Canada. We have a small hobby farm in the making and a wellness retreat. We have woodland gardens and are in the midst of getting some animals like sheep and chickens. We have vast flower and vegetable gardens and acres of lawn. We have friends who have used this program and have had many great interactions with people from all over the world. We too would love to be a part of this as well. We have lived on the property for 6 years and have been upgrading the place since we moved here . We would love to host 1 or 2 eager individuals who would like to share their love for wilderness in a zen woodlands setting. We have full suite above our garage that would be perfect for 1 or 2 people to stay in. If there was a couple who are in this program, our place could work out great too. Thr Cowichan Valley is between Victoria and Nanaimo. We are an hour away from Port Renfrew and 1-2 hours away from vast old growth forests like the Carmanah and Whalbran Valleys . The list of amazing places you can drive to within a couple hours is endless

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Having a yoga studio/wellness retreat on the property has made us realize how important human connection is . We would both profit greatly by learning about each other and our cultural differences. Our place is a place of zen and woodland tranquility. Trails going to the river and to high mountain views. Many forest animals, many of which live on the property most the time .

Help
Landscaping and gardening help mostly. If the work aways have specialized skills that would add flavour to our property , we would love it if everyone left with a great reminder of the relationship built on our little piece of paradise.

We have a 1 bedroom suite above our detached garage and would prefer to have a couple as there’s 1 bedroom with a king bed, however , there room to add another bed if another person stays . We will supply food and a kitchen but will most likely share meals in main house occasionally.
