Marcia is such a lovely and helpful guest—fun, respectful of my home, resourceful and very capable, generous in the ways that she helped me, asked the right questions and listened really well. I am very grateful to Erika - a lovely person who brought life to my home projects, which were previously clunking along.

A few other ways in which Erika helped me: harvesting lemons and figs and juicing a huge box of lemons. For the backyard build, sorting through and identifying usable tiles, running to the hardware store several times.
It would have taken me at least a month on my own to get done what Erika and I accomplished as a team in a few days. She was very generous in spirit and with her knowledge and time.
Erika, thank you!! I hope you reach out to me to be your host again!Feedback

This was my first workaway experience.
I really enjoy meeting Cate, had a wonderful time helping and organizing her beautiful home.
Since this was my first time, Cate and I exchanged several messages and had one FaceTime meeting to get to know each other.

… read more talked on FaceTime, I think we both felt very comfortable about each other. She welcomed me to her lovely house in Rockridge, where I graduated from Art School in mid 80's.
Due to my traveling schedule, I was able to stay for only 3 nights/4 days, helping her organize/downsizing, kitchen, book cases, basement and bedrooms.
She gave me very clear instructions, how she wants things done, where they need to go, etc, which made us work as a great team. I am currently traveling with my car, drove to several book stores and donation locations to bring boxes, which gave me a surprise reconnecting to one of my friends from 80's that I had lost contact.
He was working at one of the book store!
Cate was so kind to asked me what kind of food I like/dislike and restrictions. I helped cooking some meals at her kitchen. She invited me to her friend's Oakland Warriors game night/Gourmet BBQ sausage hot dog one evening, and daily morning coffee & breakfast with her.
Cate, Thank you so much, I feel so grateful for welcoming me to your lovely home in Rockridge and trusted me with your organizing/downsizing work exchange. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
