Description
Welcome to our family home near the beautiful Šumava Mountains in the Czech Republic!
We are a family with two daughters (6 and 9 years old) living in a newly built house completed in December 2025. We are looking for friendly and practical Workawayers who would enjoy helping us with several outdoor projects while experiencing life in a peaceful countryside setting near town Vimperk (15 min walk).
What We Need Help With
We are currently working on improving our property and would appreciate help with:
- Building a fence around parts of the garden
- Constructing a simple outdoor shelter for wood
- Creating a foundation wall (retaining wall/base wall)
- General garden and landscaping help -

We would love to share our lifestyle and Czech culture with our guests. We enjoy cooking traditional Czech meals together and exploring the outdoors. We have e-bikes that guests can use to discover the beautiful surroundings of the Šumava region and nearby towns.
We are very open-minded and enjoy meeting people from different cultures. We spent six months WWOOFing in Spain, have experience with pet sitting abroad, and one of us works in Germany. These experiences have brought many different perspectives into our lives, and we truly enjoy cultural exchange and making connections with people from around the world. -

Accommodation
You will have your own private room and bathroom in a house that is shared with us. The kitchen and living room are part of a spacious open-plan area with a cozy fireplace. Everything is brand new, as the house was completed in December 2025.
We’re going to share lunches and dinners during the week. Sometimes only Lucy or Jacob will be present for lunch, but for dinner, we should all be there.
We want you to feel comfortable, and we understand that food and dining are an important part of cultural exchange and of creating a shared sense of home.
We will have lunch together at 1 p.m. and dinner around 6 p.m. -
