Description
We are a family of 5 living with our animals on a little farm in a beautiful and peaceful spot in the countryside in the middle of Skåne, in the south of Sweden.
Finn works as a doctor in Lund, and Indy works with various part-time jobs and the rest of the time looking after the kids, animals and garden. The kids are Emile, 16, Iris and Eden, both 14. They like playing tennis, orienteering, playing the piano, riding, and reading books.
We grow vegetables for our own consumption and take care of the harvest by preserving it in different ways.
We all enjoy meeting people from other countries, making good food, playing games and being active together.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
There is a bus nearby to the local village, and from there a train to Lund takes 20 minutes, so you can enjoy life in the countryside but with easy access to the city. There is a national park with great walking trails 20 minutes away by bus and bikes are available to borrow.

Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.

Help
We would like help with various outdoor projects around the farm:
-building a pond and planting trees
-maintaining fences
-growing vegetables (for our own consumption)
-making a forest garden
-harvesting and taking care of produce
-looking after the animals (including riding for those that want to)
-repairing and painting the house and outbuildings (unskilled work or we will teach you how)
-pruning trees and bushes
-baking bread
You must have a valid visa for a stay in Sweden since we cannot assist you in getting one.
Please note that the tasks on the farm are mostly physical and can be demanding if you are not used to physical work. Bring good shoes and clothes for working in.

We have a guest cabin, with one double bed, own compost toilet and basic kitchen. We can provide ingredients for fixing breakfast and lunch by yourself, and then we can eat together in the evenings. We eat vegetarian food.

What else ...
No smoking allowed indoors. We have cats, a dog, hens, ducks, rabbits and horses.
The nearest towns Eslöv and Höör have lots to offer, with museums, libraries, swimming pools, shops, etc. Easy access by bus and then train to Lund, Malmö and Copenhagen.
