Description
We recently moved onto this property and are setting it up on organic permaculture principles. There is a large greenhouse structure (with no covering) that we are in the process of remediating and an avocado orchard that we will be planting other trees and shrubs into to turn it into a food forest. It is a work in progress. Unfortunately my partner died in August after a long illness but I am continuing the vision with the help of Josh, Amber and baby Lily who live in a cabin on the orchard.
I help run the local Folk Club and have lots of assorted instruments available if you are musically inclined. You can also join me at Scottish Country Dancing if you like!
There are two double bedrooms available and also a single sleepout if needed. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I have lots of instruments available to make music and we can attend local concerts and open mics.
I speak some French and German and am happy to help with English learning.
We are using the principles of Permaculture and organic gardening on our property and have a 2 week course teaching the basics of Permaculture. Whilst here guests will be welcomed as part of the team living on the property.
I look forward to a real cultural exchange with us each learning about other ways of life. -

Help
We are not looking for tourists but for people who are genuinely interested in learning about permaculture and organic growing and are willing to get their hands dirty. I promise that the tasks will be varied. There will be some weeding but also propagating, planting and building.. The ideal stay is about 2 weeks and the help about 4 hours a day with one day off a week (but this can be flexible so that you could, for example, do an overnight hike in the Kaimais)
