    Description

Horse maintenance, training and Riding at a horse rescue located near Vancouver.

Come help on a 15 acre horse sanctuary and private ranch. We home up to 30 horses that need love and attention from persons not afraid of getting their hands dirty and have a let's get it done attitude. Our horses are not stalled and are free roaming so you must feel comfortable being surrounded by large animals.

We provide training and long term rehabilitation for rescued horses. We usually have several horses in need of training. If you are an experienced, fearless rider this would be a great opportunity to practice natural horsemanship skills. We do not use bits or spurs. Western style riding.

Located around the corner from Golden Ears provincial park, we offer trail rides to the public during the seasonal months. Riders with experience can participate as guides. Volunteers are invited to also participate in training horses and casual riding. Weather and time permitting we also setup horse games such as broom ball, gymkhana, and just riding around for the relaxation, etc.

The farm/ranch is rustic and humble. This is not a stable. If you are looking for a fancy facility this is not us. Most importantly here is that we love all of our horses, ducks, dogs, cats and whatever else happens to be staying here. They are part of the family and they get the best care and love we can provide.

We welcome you to come and join us and experience the love and friendship of some of the most wonderful horses and other farm animals you will ever encounter.

Prior horse experience and an international driver's licence are an asset but not required.
