Description
We are a family of five humans, one Swiss Mountain dog and a lot of lavender! Our acreage is in Kelowna in the lovely Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada. We are getting the (very small) farm and house ready for the summer. There is plenty of recreation close by with hiking trails, cycling trails (incl. the Myra Canyon Trestles), horse riding, kayaking/paddle boarding in the Okanagan Lake, wine tasting or just hanging out at City park or in the summer on our local beaches (our favourite is Gyro beach). On Saturdays/ Sundays we ski/ snowboard/ snowshoe at Big White in the winter.

In the winter, you will enjoy easygoing life with a lot of snow. Have the opportunity to experience what life is like on an acreage.Projects involving children

Help
In the spring we will get ready for the summer. Packing away winter gear and taking out summer stuff, checking pipes, trimming anything in sight, getting plants ready, preparing irrigation, cleaning out storing areas, sweeping, DIY, painting, cooking, baking, ect.
In the summer we look for an outdoor loving couple (or friends traveling together) to help us on our 7 acres. Life on the acreage involves farming lavender, walking the dog, gardening, fixing irrigation pipes, DIY, painting, creating a website, sweeping, having weekend barbecues and marshmallows over fire with the family.
In the autumn the focus is more on getting things ready for the winter such as winterising the irrigation (and RV!). We also start to get the house ready; packing away al the summer stuff, unpacking all the winter gear, sweeping, raking, cleaning out storing areas, cooking, cleaning, ect.
In the winter, the focus is all on the house/family with the occasional bonfire. Cooking, baking, cleaning, sweeping, homebrew beer, running errands, completing DIY projects, shovelling snow, dog walking, etc.Languages spoken

In the summer, you will have you own private accommodation in a large RV (campervan) giving you your own space. The RV gives plenty of space for a couple or friends travelling together. In the RV ‘s galley you will be able to cook your meals. We will pay for your food.
In the winter, your accommodation will be in a spare room in the family home. Some family meals will be created by you. We encourage you to make some of your traditional dishes! What else ...
The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. There is plenty of recreation close by, hiking trails, cycling trails (incl. the Myra Canyon Trestles) horse riding, swimming & fishing in the Okanagan Lake and wine tasting. Bicycles can be made available if needed.

The evenings with the family were very pleasant. Amelie always prepared excellent, varied and balanced meals. Johan likes to share his culture, his knowledge and to do taste his good wines. We were able to celebrate the Chinese New Year together (thanks to Joey,… read more
I wish I could’ve stayed longer!
I went to Kelowna for 2 weeks in November, so I slept in the guest room, not the RV (but I’ve seen it, it’s super nice)
