Description
Welcome to Our Slice of Paradise in the Pyrénées-Orientales!
We’re nestled in one of the most beautiful and diverse regions of France—just 10 minutes from the Mediterranean, 30 minutes from the Pyrenees mountains, and right on the Spanish border. Barcelona is just around the corner, and within a two-hour drive, you can explore beaches, mountains, vineyards, and vibrant cities.
Four years ago, my wife and I left behind city life and moved here to chase a dream. We bought a charming 1815 townhouse and began restoring it with love and care. We’ve made huge progress—but like many projects, it’s not quite finished yet. That’s where you come in!
This area is a dream for anyone who loves the outdoors. I’m passionate about hiking, climbing, and cycling—and here, it’s all on the doorstep. Whether it’s sunrise hikes in the Albères, climbing crags with sea views, or winding your way through vineyard roads on a bike, it’s all here waiting.
The weather? Sunny most of the year.
The food? Fresh, local, and full of flavor.
The people? Warm, welcoming, and proud of their Catalan culture.

This isn’t just a place to work—it’s a place to grow.
I’m a fitness and weight loss coach with over 10 years’ experience helping more than 1,000 people transform their lives.
My passion lies in mindset, behavioral change, and helping people become the best version of themselves—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
If you’re curious about health, wellness, coaching, or personal development, I’m happy to share what I’ve learned and offer guidance, insight, or just a good conversation.
I’m also a qualified mountain leader and guide, and I’ve got all the gear for climbing, hiking, and cycling.
So when the work’s done, there’s a good chance we’ll be heading out into the mountains to explore—and you’re more than welcome to join.
We’ve got a great community of friends here who are into hiking, climbing, wild swimming, and good food—so there are plenty of chances to connect with others and feel part of the local lifestyle.
I’m also fascinated by different cultures, food, philosophy, and love learning from the people I meet.
So whether you’re looking to swap skills, share stories, or just get inspired—you’ll find a lot more than just paintbrushes here.Projects involving children

Help
We’re looking for friendly, hands-on people to help us with the decor of our home
The work is varied but pretty straightforward—painting, decorating, sanding, and finishing off the little details that bring everything together.
If you’ve got basic handy skills—like making shelves, putting up doors, or small DIY projects—that’s a big bonus.
We also have a plot of land that we’re slowly bringing to life, so if you’re into gardening or have ideas for creating outdoor spaces, there’s plenty to get involved in.
I’ll often be working alongside you and getting stuck in myself—but I do run an online coaching business, so I’m sometimes tied up with work.
That means we really appreciate people who are independent, self-sufficient, and comfortable cracking on with a task once it’s been explained.
You don’t need to be a pro—just practical, open to learning, and ready to muck in.
And if you’re into hiking, climbing, cycling, or just love the mountains and the outdoors, this place will feel likeLanguages spoken
English: Fluent
French: IntermediateAccommodation
We’ve got a few different accommodation options depending on what’s happening and the kind of experience you’re looking for.
Our main house has spare bedrooms available, each with its own en suite bathroom—comfortable, private, and perfect for relaxing after a day’s work or adventure.
We also have a cabin on our plot of land, with a compost toilet and plans to make it more liveable.
If you’re up for a more off-grid experience, we’d love your help making the space more habitable—and you’d be welcome to stay there too as we improve it.
On top of that, we’ve got a separate plot with motorhomes, solar power, running water, showers, and all the amenities you’d need for a comfortable, independent setup.
We’ll provide all your food while you’re here.
So whether you prefer indoor comforts or something a bit more adventurous, we’ve got options—and we’ll work with you to find the best fit. What else ...
I’m 35 and used to party pretty hard—but these days, I’m more about early mornings, mountain adventures, and a good night’s sleep.
I take my health seriously, I’m a non-smoker, and I love a routine during the week—training, working, eating well, and getting outdoors as much as possible.
That said, I still enjoy a good beer, a great glass of wine, and some music with friends—especially on the weekends when it’s time to relax and unwind.
This isn’t the place for someone looking to party non-stop or drink every night.
It is the place for someone who’s active, curious, and wants to spend time in one of the most beautiful and diverse corners of France.
If you love the outdoors, enjoy contributing to meaningful projects, and like being part of a relaxed, health-conscious home—you’ll fit right in.A little more information
