Description
Hello! We are a family of three: a couple and our young daughter. We live between the city of Tarija and our countryside property in Guerrahuayco, where we are creating a beautiful place surrounded by farmlands and nature.
Our dream is to transform this land into a welcoming space with trees, gardens, walking paths, a large swimming pool, and peaceful areas where people can relax and enjoy nature. We would love to share this experience with volunteers who enjoy outdoor life and don't mind getting their hands dirty.
Because we often work in Tarija during the day, we are looking for independent and responsible people, preferably a couple, who feel comfortable staying at the property on their own. We trust our volunteers and appreciate people who can work with initiative.
The work is varied and may include planting trees, mowing grass, cleaning the swimming pool, feeding the chickens, building stone paths, maintaining the gardens, and helping with general outdoor projects.
Sometimes we may also invite you to spend time with us in the city. There you might help with cooking, cleaning, preparing our home, or assisting during children's group activities.
The schedule is 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, giving you plenty of free time to relax, swim, explore the area, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Accommodation
You will stay in a small cabin in the countryside. Occasionally, if the cabin is occupied, camping is also an option. There is a hot shower, an eco-friendly dry toilet, and everything you need for a simple and comfortable stay.
Our large swimming pool is available for you to enjoy every day, especially during the warm months.
If you love nature, simple living, learning new skills, and helping build a special place from the ground up, we would be very happy to welcome you to our family and our project. -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Cultural exchange.
We would love to share our culture, our family life, and our experience living in Bolivia with our volunteers.
You will have the opportunity to experience a more peaceful and natural way of life, surrounded by mountains, rivers, and beautiful landscapes, while learning about Bolivian culture, food, customs, and daily life.
We enjoy spending time outdoors and sharing experiences with others. We love going for walks and hikes in the mountains, swimming in the river, enjoying nature, and creating fun moments together in the swimming pool, such as playing water games and exploring different activities.
We enjoy sharing meals, conversations, and experiences with people from different countries. We can exchange stories about our cultures, practice languages, learn new skills, and discover different ways of seeing the world.
Our family is also involved in working with children, and sometimes volunteers may have the opportunity to learn about our work and our approach to supporting children's development and social skills.
At the same time, we are very interested in learning from you: your culture, your traditions, your cooking, your experiences, and the skills you would like to share with us.
For us, the most valuable part of this experience is creating a connection between people from different backgrounds, enjoying nature together, and building something meaningful as a team. -
Help
What kind of help are we looking for?
We are looking for practical, responsible, and independent volunteers who enjoy working outdoors and helping with a variety of tasks.
The main help we need is related to maintaining and improving our countryside property in Guerrahuayco. Tasks may include:
- Planting and caring for trees and plants.
- Gardening and maintaining green areas.
- Cutting grass and keeping outdoor spaces clean.
- Cleaning and maintaining the swimming pool.
- Feeding and caring for chickens.
- Building small paths with stones and improving the landscape.
- General maintenance and organization of the property.
From time to time, we may also need help in our home in Tarija, including cooking, cleaning, organizing spaces, and occasionally supporting activities with children.
We are looking for people who can work with initiative, enjoy learning, are comfortable with physical work, and can manage tasks independently. Experience with gardening, construction, farming, cooking, or maintenance is welcome, but the most important thing is a positive attitude and willingness to help. -

Language exchange We are very interested in language exchange. We would love to practice and improve our German, and we would like our daughter to have the opportunity to hear and learn English, French, or Dutch in a natural and enjoyable way. In exchange, we can help you practice Spanish and share our Bolivian culture, traditions, food, and way of life. We believe that languages are learned best through real conversations and shared experiences: cooking together, playing games, walking in nature, sharing meals, and spending time as a family. We would love to welcome volunteers who enjoy sharing their language and culture while creating a friendly environment where everyone can learn from each other. -
Accommodation
Accommodation and meals.
Volunteers will stay in a simple and cozy cabin on our countryside property in Guerrahuayco, surrounded by nature. The cabin offers a peaceful place to relax after work. The hot shower and eco-friendly dry toilet are located just outside the cabin.
Occasionally, if the cabin is being used, volunteers may need to stay in a tent. We have plenty of space for camping, making it a great option for those who enjoy spending time outdoors.
We also have a large swimming pool that volunteers are welcome to enjoy during their free time.
Meals.
We provide the basic ingredients needed for everyday cooking, such as rice, pasta, lentils, beans, vegetables, cooking oil, sugar, salt, and other essential foods. We buy these supplies in bulk so there is always food available.
Volunteers prepare their own meals in the kitchen. This gives everyone the freedom to cook what they like and at the time that suits them best. We are not able to cook meals for volunteers on a daily basis because of our work schedule, but we will make sure the kitchen is stocked with the basic ingredients needed for simple, healthy meals. -
What else ...
Additional information.
During your free time, there are many opportunities to enjoy nature. You can go hiking in the nearby mountains, explore the surrounding countryside, relax by the river, or spend time at the swimming pool.
Although the property is in a quiet rural area, public transportation is only about a 15-minute walk away. From there, it takes approximately 15 minutes by bus to reach the center of Tarija.
We value a peaceful, respectful, and tidy home. We ask all volunteers to help keep shared spaces clean and organized at all times. This includes washing dishes after cooking, cleaning the kitchen, and leaving rooms and common areas as they were found. We believe everyone enjoys living in a clean environment and sharing this responsibility.
If any equipment or property is damaged due to serious carelessness or negligence, we expect the person responsible to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
We also ask our volunteers to respect our family lifestyle. Drugs are not allowed, and we do not want the use of illegal drugs on our property. We also ask volunteers not to drink alcohol while staying with us.
Above all, we hope to welcome kind, honest, respectful people who enjoy nature, take initiative, and are happy to contribute to our project while having a memorable experience in Bolivia. -
