2025/26 Winter season
December to Mid march. / Position available for the entire season only.
2026 Green Season May/ July-August / position available from 2 weeks.
For over 10 years, our lodge has been nestled in the pristine Japanese Alps of Hakuba Valley, welcoming up to 25 guests. Owned by a Swiss couple passionate about backcountry riding, it’s situated in Hakuba-Norikura, just a 20-minute drive from the main Hakuba-Happo resort.
Catering mainly to snowboarders, skiers, backcountry adventurers, and nature lovers from across the globe, the lodge is dedicated to providing exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards.

_ 1 _Valid Japanese Working Holiday Visa.

_2 _International driving licence/ able to drive in snow conditions.
_ 3_ Previous EXPERIENCES in seasonal work is a must, hospitality, housekeeping, kitchen, service, bar or snow removal.

We are seeking enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable individuals who are quick learners, mature, and open-minded. Candidates should be able to take direction, work well within a team, and adapt to various situations with professionalism and a positive attitude.

++++ALL ROUNDER Open position_ Bar tender ( serving different cocktails, wine, dinner service) Housekeeper.
Positions Closed
_CHEF (food shopping, breakfasts, dinner preps, cleaning.
_ Sous chef ( following chef's instructions, kitchen help, service, diswashing, kitchen cleaning, food shopping)
_Housekeeper (daily showers and toilets cleaning, maintaining the house clean, changeovers when needed.
_Snow removal / mechanics skills
We ask for,
° Previous seasonal work experiences. We will ask references.
° Can adapt to a sudden need of working position change, dealing with stress management.
° Details oriented as we provide high standard services.
° Great working etiquette.
° People that love taking care of others and tolerant to guests, team...
° Being able to live and share community staff areas together and maintain in order.
° Love being surrounded by snow and cold climates.
° Snowboarding / skiing enthusiasts.
° Able to live in a remote area.
Accommodation and an hourly wage will be provided. Average working time will be 40h per week and pay from 1'300 JPY an hour depending on position and experience.
The working hours per week will be adjusted and scheduled depending on what needs to be done and number of guests.

Green season/ Forest Therapy Retreat programs/ House maintenance
- Chef
Join us to learn Simon's Asian Fusion recipes and Japanese cooking techniques while also showcasing your own style through preparing dishes and breakfasts.
During retreats, we offer more vegetarian alternatives and guests are more likely to have dietary restrictions.
You’ll occasionally work front of house, engaging with guests and explaining the menu. Responsibilities include managing inventory, placing orders, and shopping.
During the green season, when we are not hosting guests or retreats weekly, you will also assist with various hotel and chalet tasks, pitching in wherever needed. This may include DIY projects, cleaning, and outdoor maintenance.

You are versatile and capable of handling a variety of tasks, including grass cutting, outdoor maintenance, renovations,
DIY projects, housekeeping, deep cleaning and general upkeep.

WINTER Positions :
- Chef
Join us to learn Simon's Asian Fusion recipes and Japanese cooking techniques while also showcasing your own style through preparing dishes and breakfasts. You’ll occasionally work front of house, engaging with guests and explaining the menu. Responsibilities include managing inventory, placing orders, and shopping. During busy periods, you’ll also assist with various hotel and chalet related tasks, pitching in wherever needed.
Cooking 4 times a week (3 course dinner menu) up to 25 guests. 4-5 hot breakfasts a week.
- Assistant Chef
Support the head chef in the kitchen during mornings and evenings, including preparing hot breakfasts. Occasionally assist front of house by engaging with and serving guests. Responsibilities also include stocktaking, ordering, and shopping.
During busy times, you’ll help out with various hotel related tasks as needed.
All Rounders :
Roles may include a combination of:
- Housekeeping, service, and bartending
- Bartending, service, housekeeping, and driving
- Snow removal, dishwashing, driving

You will be sharing a room with up to 2 other staff, with shared showers and toilets.

- You need a valid Working Holiday Visa or another visa that permits employment in Japan.
- International driving licence
We are a 25min drive away from the main town of Hakuba Happo.
A car will be available depending on our schedule and guest services for food shopping.
Mountain bike, available depending on our schedule and guest services.
Hiking, biking, snowboarding, skiing are the most activities in the valley during your time off.
2 Onsen near walking distance to rest and relax after work or after a ride.
We will be also happy to give you information about sightseeing and other travel tips depending on your needs and interests.
