PLEASE READ OUR COVID UPDATE:
ALTHOUGH PANAMA IS TRYING TO CONATAIN A THIRD WAVE RIGHT NOW (JUNE 2021) I ASSUME THAT TRAVELLING WILL INCREASE SLOWLY AROUND THE NORHTERN HEMISPHERE SUMMER VACATION TIME JULY TO SEPTEMBER AND BUSINESS WILL GET BACK TO ALMOST NORMAL TOWARDS END OF THE YEAR - THOUGH LESS
IF YOU APPLY FOR THIS YEAR YOU ALSO SHOULD BE AWARE, THAT THERE WILL NOT BE A LOT OF OTHER FOREIGNERS (EXCEPT BUSINESS OWNERS) AROUND.
WE WILL NOT HAVE DAILY DIVE TRIPPS MOST PROBALY AND THE POSSIBILITY FOR YOU TO DIVE WILL BE THERE BUT TO GET AS MANY DIVES IN AS POSSIBLE OR GOING FOR A DIVEMASTER RATING SHOULD NOT BE YOUR MAIN OBJECTIVE.
Our dive center is located in Santa Catalina on Panama´s Pacific coast and has been the first dive center organizing trips to the former prison island and now UNESCO World Heritage site Coiba National Park.
We are locally and internationally run and are proud of our multinational staff and cooperating with local boat owners and service providers.
We have regular openings for multi-lingual volunteers, what are already scuba divers and are willing to stay for some time with us. Please do NOT APPLY if you are not a certified diver and please do NOT APPLY if you can't stay for at least 2 months. We need people mainly for the reception and helping out at the dive center. We prefer divers who want to continue their dive education towards divemaster/instructor rating.
FOR 2021 THE ABOVE SAID IS NOT REALLY A PRE-REQUISITE AND YOUR MAIN DUTY WILL BE TO SIT AROUND AND TRY TO SIGN UP INTERESTED DIVERS, KEEP THE SHOP TIDY AND DO SOME OTHER JOBS (WE ARE LOOKING MAINLY FOR PEOPLE WITH COMPUTER SKILLS (WEBDESIGN, SOCIAL MEDIA), AND/OR DIY / HANDYMAN SKILLS (WE HAVE BEEN STOPPED BY COVID TO BUILD A NEW DIVECENTER OUT OF SHIPPING CONTAINERS)
