Description
We are the headquarters of a permaculture/agroecology and nut polyculture farm. We run trainings, grow trees and veg, and support local transition initiatives and pioneering post-carbon projects.
We have work throughout the year:
Outdoor work: animal care (chickens, sheep, gods eh dogs, bees), gardening and orchard maintenance, painting, strimming, planting, cleaning, some construction, etc.
Indoor work: administration, creative/art/design and communication work for our organisation.
We are especially interested in people who have a background in and/or who are seeking to develop their skills in permaculture skills, construction, agroecological farming and regenerative farming.
We are also affiliated with an earthship project in Luxembourg, about 20 minutes from us, where you can volunteer for 1 day/week (natural construction, earthship maintenance, wood work, low tech solutions, gardening).
This is a place in the countryside, so if you are interested in being in a buzzing place with lots of activity or if you get restless easily, you need not apply. If you are a nature person, like to be alone, and can immerse yourself in a quiet space, this is the place for you.
When you apply, please write down your experience and how you would like to contribute in your message. We will then contact you for interview time (zoom) to get to know you better.
We want people to commit to a minimum of 2 weeks, preferably longer. For your learning benefit, we prefer longer stays, also in the context of your studies (e.g. intership, field work practice, etc.). Talk to us.
Let us know about any addiction issues you have. We are a drug-free space.
We are left-wing and LGBTQIA+ friendly. We believe in vaccination and science.
We would like you to work autonomously and treat the place as if it were your own :-)Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a small group of people with quite different backgrounds (e.g. UX design, anthropology, nature connection, sociology, teacher, technician, designer). We are building our permaculture community living, small ecovillage and training centre since 2020.
Besides we are also interested in: politics, economy, mindfulness practices, neurosciences, art, design, history, social change, games, cooking, walking...Help
The help will be depending on the season, and the development of the project. So besides garden and orchard work, there is also renovations in the house. If you are interested, we can also give you the responsibility for a smaller project to see through either in the garden or in the arts/creative. We are open to talking about your skills and seeing what areas you want to learn in.
We want people who are self-motivated and really can drive themselves. So please only apply if you can motivate yourself, be on time to start work and be responsible with our tools and a what we provide to work. We also want people who are clean and tidy, who can clean up after themselves and contribute to the already clean place we have.
We are very accommodating and happy to have volunteers who are willing to learn share and work with us. We have flexible work hours and this can be discussed in more detail in the application process.
We have wireless internet and plenty of books to keep you entertained.Languages

She supported us amazingly during her time here and we'd have her back anytime! <3
It was my first workaway experience, and frankly I was very nervous to be going to Europe and trying something completely new for myself for the first time. From the pickup at the train station by Fredrick to the on-boarding that night after dinner with Katy, I felt welcomed and part of the team right… read more
Totally recommend! <3
We loved having her stay with us.
