Description
We are a couple from the UK and Ireland, looking for help with our project in central Bulgaria. We are hoping to renovate some outbuildings into an open air art space, outdoor kitchen , and chill out zone, lay some paths , build fences and outdoor solar showers, create vegetable growing areas, flower gardens and communal areas whilst having fun and meeting people along the way!
We need help in all of the above areas and also tiling, some minir plastering, etc and would really love to host some volunteers who would like to come and experience rural village life in beautiful central Bulgaria. We do have some mod cons for comfort like wifi, a projector for outfoor cinema experiences, a hot tub and a small plunge pool, numerous hammocks and seating areas. We aim to have bell tent accommodation and some rooms available in the main house when we do not have family visiting. We have 2 indoor showers and toilets.
We are situated in a gorgeous area within foothills and nestled amongst forest. Our small village is quaint and retains that old Bulgaria feel .
We are 12 minutes drive from Dryanovo with all amenities and 30 minutes from Veliko Tarnovo which is a beautiful historic city. We are close to Tryavna, Buzludzha, Dryanovo monastery and waterfall and Bacho Kiro cave. We frequently go on adventures to swim in the waterfalls at Kapinovo.Types of help and learning opportunities

What else ...
We may be able to offer some excursions with us also to the coast or to see the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, Buzludzha is an amazing communist monument to see, also an ethnographic musuem and traditional towns that literally go back in time like Tryavna and Bojentsi. Locally there are waterfalls at Krushevo, Kapinovo (also a camp site) and Dryanovo where the Bacho Kiro caves are also situated. There is a fishing lake in Dryanovo, shops, restaurants, all a 15 minute drive or 30 minute cycle away.
There is large damned lake an hr away for swimming and water sports.. In nearby Veliko Tarnovo is a modern cinema, an historic fortress alongside lots of lovely restaurants and cafes.
There is rock climbing and kayaking available also nearby.A little more information
