    Description

Robert and Maura's place is a small traditional Irish home, Just outside Enniscorthy town, we keep some cattle and horses and like to compete in the local shows in the summer months.
We have lots of dogs around our home, which are great company. There is a large garden & poly tunnel to grow our fruit and vegetables in order to try to be self-sufficient, organic and to have yummy home cooked meals.

We encourage nature/wildlife growth around our place. Tasks: day to day help in our home and the tasks are varied and interesting from maintenance to caring for the pets, & tending to the garden and poly tunnel. Anyone who likes the outdoors and has a love for animals will have great and memorable experiences here. We have many different projects that we are grateful to have help with. We welcome people to our home who are social, have an interest in what we do here and to share our way of life. We have lots of fun and have some beautiful beaches & scenery very close by, nearest town has lots of culture and heritage landmarks to be seen.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Accommodation is in our modern and newly converted farm house, which has central heating, full kitchen, bathroom, sitting room and bedrooms. Some meals will also be with Robert and Maura in the main house.

    meal times are usually:
    breakfast at 8am
    Tea and toast at 11am
    Lunch at 1pm or 2pm
Evening meal at 6pm or 7pm

A typical day might be checking/feeding the pets, some help in the garden and poly tunnel, maintaining the fencing and hedgerows. We are currently working on a barn conversion in one of the farm buildings so that would be interesting too... You might like to do some trips/tour so if you want the weekend or some time off during the week we can discuss what suits best…

    What else ...

There is wi-fi available and we have recently changed our provider so internet speed is much improved.
We are located in the south east of the country, and not too far from Dublin. Time tables attached for two different bus companies that operate a direct service from the airport:

There is also a train service from Dublin city center to Enniscorthy with further details here:

The weather in Ireland can be wet and even in the summer months we can have some rain !! so it might be handy to bring water proof coat, hat and trousers and working gloves if you have some ; ) We are based in the sunny southeast of the country so we get less rain than other parts of Ireland.
