    Description

    Hello,

We are a family of 5 - Tiffany , Tim, Tim’s mother Kerry (lives in granny flat on lower level of the house) and our two children Piper (12) and Boston (11).

We live on beautiful and unique Scotland Island in Pittwater, on Sydney’s northern beaches. The island is water access only and takes only a 5 minute commute by ferry or our own small commuter boat to get back and forth to the mainland.

Our home is a three storey waterfront family house looking out to Ku-ring-Gai chase national park. It’s the perfect place for anyone who loves outdoors & nature.

Scotland Island is a very special place to us as Tim grew up here and we live in the house his father built 40 + years ago. There are around 400 homes on the island and it’s fully residential.

There is plenty to do here for outdoor lovers such as swimming, kayaking, bushwalking, fishing, etc.

We are looking for 4 hours of work 5 days a week and are flexible about when the work happens and what days off suit you. We are looking for 1 or 2 people to stay 7-10 days with the option to extend.

We really enjoy cooking, so you will always be fed and have plenty of food here. Tiffany is allergic to gluten so we are familiar with allergies if you have any and of course are happy to cater to dietary needs.

We are looking forward to sharing this special place with people who appreciates community, nature and the unique way of life this island offers. We are also looking forward to bringing different cultures and perspectives into our home.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We really value cultural exchange that comes with hosting and it’s something that has been apart of our life for a long time.

Tiffany is originally from the USA and has a background of traveling and living overseas. She has been an au pair in both Europe and Australia before meeting Tim and settling here. Tim has also been hosted overseas while traveling abroad. In saying this, we really understand and appreciate what it’s like to arrive somewhere new and we want to create a welcome relaxing environment for you.

There are plenty opportunities to connect with the community around and we are always happy to include of workawayers in our family life. The island itself has a very diverse and friendly community and holds events that you are welcome to attend as well.

We love meeting new people and learning about other cultures as well as welcoming people in and teaching about our own. We look forward to welcoming you into our home!
