    Description

    Hi there!
My brother and I would love to welcome a work away stay with us while visiting Perth. We live in the leafy suburbs of Bibra Lake with two dogs, plenty of outdoor space, outdoor kitchen, and a pool.

We are sounded by nature and plenty of beautiful walks and attractions within close proximity. Our Bibra Lake home is only about 200m from the lake itself, where you can also find a native wildlife conservation centre offering tours. While we are outside the hustle and bustle of the CBD, we are only about a 15-20 minute drive and easily accessible by train if you'd like to head in. There is also close by public transport to easily access some of our beautiful beaches, and often find ourselves in Fremantle too (about a 15 minute drive away).

I am moving abroad soon (option for Stay-Swap below), and as we are both very busy we would love to offer food and accomodation for general home support to take some things off our plate, such as:
    • General cleaning and tidying
    • Laundry
    • Cooking
    • Light yard work
    • Organisation projects

I am spending about 9 months abroad starting May 2026, so I am also open to accomodation swaps if you you have a place available in one of the locations I plan to visit. I will provide further detail below.

We have two medium sized working dogs so confidence with animals is essential :)

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to Perth!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We'd love to offer you a slice of the laid-back Perth lifestyle and are open to supporting other experiences you may enjoy. We both love to travel and explore new cultures, so learning through you is always a plus! We love to spend time in nature and exploring different cafes and restaurants and would happily show you around some of our favourite spots time permitting, and introduce you to other friends and travellers sometimes too!

  • Help

    Help

    Jobs may include:
    • General cleaning/tidying
    • Cooking/meal planning - taking this cognitive load off would be huge help.
    • Organisation/decluttering
    • Yard/garden work (tending to plants, sweeping/raking, pool cleaning, water blasting, weeding etc.)
    • Repairs

Ideally we would love someone happy to do 25 hours per week. You can choose how you structure these hours (e.g. 5 hours 5 days a week, ~8 hours 3 days week etc.) to fit in with your travel plans for your free time. In particular, while I love to cook having someone who is confident with this to take the cognitive load off us for meal planning, shopping and cooking each week with a budget would be ideal, plus a couple hours each day of general household help. If you are travelling as a couple there are additional things you could help with, particularly if your skillset extends to renovations.

If you get along well with the dogs during your stay and plan to be in Australia a while, we may also be interested in some pet sitting later this year :)

I am also open to Stay-Swaps as I am spending about 9 months in the UK starting May 2026. This could look like a direct swap with no work required for either of us, or if you need support with things like plants and pets we could work out the hourly exchange there too. If this is something of interest please include as many details as you can about:
•what dates you are hoping to stay with us
    •when your place is available
•Images and details of the accommodation, locations, any tasks involved (e.g. looking after the garden or pet sitting)
    • If it is an entire home or a room you're offering
    • Distance from your place to public transport

  • Languages spoken

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

    • Private double room in Bibra lake
You will have a comfy double room with shared bathroomDepending on the Workaway's preference, we can be adaptable. If they would prefer to work less (less than 15 hours p/w) we can do accommodation only. If they are happy to contribute more we can do a combination of supplying groceries and welcoming them to join us for meals.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

As we work from home, understanding that we may sometimes need the space to focus is appreciated. There is plenty to do around both locations and they are each easily accessible by public transport.

We can make suggestions on places to visit and may be able to assist with transportation, and there may even be opportunities to travel with us to visit friends in more regional parts of WA.

We have two dogs so confidence with animals is also very important and would suggest not applying in you tend to be nervous around dogs.
