    Description

We are a (Serbian/Swiss) open hearted and easygoing family who arrived in Serbia 10 years ago to create an organic homestead and live sustainable. We renovated the old family cottage and added outbuildings to complete the farm yard. Actually on the homestead live Nemanja (he is a veterinary technician), Francesca (an architect) and Mirjana who goes to 8th grade. We combine remote working with homesteading and farming.

In the meantime besides growing fruits & vegetables we also keep cattles, sheeps, goats, pigs, horses, chickens, rabbits, dogs and cats. Our livestock, mostly indigenous breeds, is grazing the 2ha pastureland and forest around our homestead.

The farm activity consists in ensuring animal welfare (feeding, milking, caring) maintenance around the ranch (fences, mowing, painting, cleaning) and harvesting fruits and vegetables and stock the pantry with them.
Workawayer can learn to make cheese and butter, bake bread, process meat and dry fruits and herbs. We are happy to give free riding lessons and to teach basics of groundwork and caring around horses.
For workawayer we have rooms in the mainhouse or the guesthouse and there is wi-fi everywhere. The meals are taken at the family table, we cook from scratch and use mostly our products.

We like to spend free time in the nature and in walking distance we have a little river, a church, several nice view points and a lot of hiking and riding trails. When we go for a hike we take our horse along and like to collect herbs and wildplants for teas and cooking. We enjoy the little river for bathing and fishing. On Sundays we occasionally go to church or visit monasteries and like to chill with family and friends.

Our small mountain village has 2 minimarkets and in 6km distance there are two small towns (shops, bars, pharmacies, church, post office, doctors, market, money exchange).
For occasional city visits we have Leskovac (20km) and Nis (50km) which are among the bigger cities in Serbia.
