Description
Hi! My name is Kaegh. I am 36 and have recently bought an off-grid quinta in central Portugal. It is a lovely property and I live here with my animals and have a lot of projects that I would like to acheive.
It is fully off-grid, so water comes from a well, electrcity from solar power and heating from wood or gas tanks.
It is a quinta near a village and in between Olivera do Hospital and Tabua. There are lots of local activities and things to do outside of the quinta.
I am looking for motivated and capable people to come help me with landscaping, gardening, diy and animal care - also to exchange ideas and learn from each other.
If that sounds like something you are interested in please send me a message!Types of help and learning opportunities

I am half Colombian and half English and speak Spanish, English, French, portuguese and Dutch.
I also trained as an architect and have a lot of experience in off-grid technologies and building/woodworking. I have a big well equiped workshop with planty of tools to try out and work with.
This is also a large land when there is a lot of potential to learn and experiment with gardening, water managment and forest managment.
I also love cooking, music, movies and adventures - so there is always the potential to try something new and learn!Help
The projects that I would like help with this year include:
- Putting up a geodesic dome &/or yurt
- Timber framing a balcony
- Clearing and planting a permaculture kitchen garden
- General and maintenance and land clearance
- Cutting and splitting firewood
- Looking after my animals (chickens, cats and dog)

Initially a small canvas tent, but then a larger geodome or yurt that we have stored but needs to be put up. We also have a nice shared outdoor compost toilet and hot shower. And a common building with living space and kitchen.
What else ...
There is plenty of local community activities to participate in such as yoga, capoeira, ecstatic dance, markets and more. There is also a lot of natural beauty with rivers and mountains nearby and the beach only an hour and a half away.
