    Description

Hi, I’m Marina! I’m from São Paulo, Brazil, I share my life with my partner Kaegh, who is half English and half Colombian, and together we are currently based in Central Portugal.

We are building a new chapter of our lives here, creating a slow and intentional lifestyle in a beautiful quinta surrounded by nature. Our home is shared with our 3 dogs, 2 cats, and some chickens, and we are currently expecting our first baby! While continuing to shape and improve this space step by step.

We love nature, simple living, outdoor life, exploring the region, river beaches, small villages, local culture, and spending time creating a home that feels alive and connected.

At the moment, we are working on hands-on projects around the land and house and are looking for independent, motivated people who enjoy practical work and learning by doing.

The kind of skills and help we value include:

    - Construction support & renovation tasks (guided by Kaegh)
    - Gardening and vegetable growing
    - Land care and outdoor improvements
    - Painting and creative practical projects
    - Organizing and developing functional spaces

We especially appreciate people who are proactive, responsible, and comfortable working with initiative. Having some previous experience with practical or creative projects is a plus, but curiosity and willingness to learn are even more important.

If you enjoy countryside living, nature, animals, and being part of a real-life ongoing project, we would love to hear from you and share this journey.

    — Marina & Kaegh

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We are a multicultural couple: I am Marina, Brazilian, and Kaegh is half English and half Colombian. We speak Portuguese, English, Spanish, and Kaegh also speaks Dutch, and French, and we are always open to learning from different cultures and perspectives.

Kaegh is an architect with extensive experience in construction, woodworking, and off-grid systems. We also have a well-equipped workshop with tools available, offering the chance to learn and experiment with practical building projects.

Marina is a psychoanalyst, specialized in psychosomatic experience, working with the connection between mind, body, and emotional wellbeing. If you’re into the psyche, emotions, trauma, and inner processes, and enjoy open, relaxed conversations, we’ll probably get along really well.

Beyond the practical side, we value shared moments — music, good conversations, movies, and exploring the beautiful nature around us. There is always space for creativity, exchange, and trying new things.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for travelers who are independent, motivated, and enjoy hands-on work in a countryside environment.

At the moment, we are focusing on practical projects around our quinta in Central Portugal, and could use help with:

Construction support and renovation tasks (guided by Kaegh)

Gardening and starting our vegetable garden

    Compost and chicken area organization

    Painting and improving outdoor spaces

    Land maintenance and clearing areas

Kitchen extension support and general improvements

    General Cleaning & Animal Care

In exchange, you’ll have your comfortable bedroom, access to a shared kitchen and bathroom, and plenty of free time to explore the beautiful surroundings of Central Portugal, with river beaches, nature trails, waterfalls, and small villages nearby.

We usually ask for up to 4 hours of help per day, Monday to Friday, with weekends free. Depending on the type of task and weather, the schedule can be flexible.

If you are proactive, responsible, and enjoy learning by doing, you’ll feel at home here. We value people who bring their own energy, ideas, and willingness to be part of a real, evolving project.
